Ok people.......no Pupone, no Candela......that is what is known as a "good start." Oz and our New York correspondent are correct in saying that overconfidence is not necessary. Ancelotti has named Redondo to the side as well. I think we will need to watch out for the wing play in this match people. Cause Roma (and Capello for that matter) always play a sort of 3-5-2, or a 5-3-2 with attacking wingbacks....this is where Candela will be missed. So, Kaladze and Simic (or Maldini if Billy gets the start) will have to watch this area. Also, Maldini, Nesta (or Billy)....will have to watch the wonderkid......Antonio Cassano. This kid is capable of some brilliant displays (if anyone saw his goal for Bari vs Inter a few years ago, you know what I mean)......so, he will have o be monitored. I expect il aeroplanino or Batigol to partner him.......so I feel our defenders will be up for it. Also, I suppose with Totti out, perhaps we might see Pep Guardiola......(lmao) Yeah, Pep picked the wrong squad after his Brescia deal came to an end....he hardly features. Another interesting side match in this to follow will be Emerson vs. Rui Costa........The defensive ball winning midfielder and Brasil's capitano is capable of fustrating the Portuguese maestro, so that should be watched as well. Damn.....this is going to be good......But, where I said overconfidence should not be taken into effect, I think Ancelotti will come out and dictate the positional play in this one. Expect a good display from us, and as always, when Roma is involved in a football match......keep your eye on the refereeing. I know Collina has the match, but Galliani, Sensi, and the powers of political football might intervene, which I hope they do not......Ok, my last tak on this match......
Milan 2
Roma 0
Enjoy....
