If there are no more words to praise Paolo Maldini, the same is with another Rossonero veteran player: Alessandro Costacurta (in the archives photo, after the last Milanese derby, on October 21).
In the first-leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final at Perugia not only did Billy wear the captain's band, but also led with his experience and determination the back line, preventing Grifoni speed forwards Miccoli and Vryzas from breaking into Milan box.
Costacurta is not going through a sort of second youth like Maldini because he has never given in or slowed down his pace. He has always been one of the best also in training sessions, spurs the team on and shows the spirit of a youngster.
He has started his career at Milan, playing in the junior sides like his friend Paolo: a course which taught them a lot. Is it a matter of generation?
IMO Billy is worthy of this and much more!!!

The man is a credit to rossoneri and more than deserves to wear the captain's band. And if you ask me, he and Laursen were the only players who played a decent game against Perugia.
