I don't think Berto was as bad as he ended up to be here.
Injuries and joining the wrong team at a wrong time ruined him.
He was a better version of Nocegoal who arrived to a post-Ibra Milan that needed him to be a proper midfielder.

What the fuck is with Atalanta this season. 5-0, 5-0, 1-2 (to SPAL of all teams) and 7-0. Big wins bar the one game not counting Coppa. Toro lost the plot in the second half.

If Atalanta were scudetto candidates I would expect him to lose every preseason game and get sacked three games in.

3rd place isn't midtable.
If you make Top 4 twice, qualify for CL group stage and knock-out stage with a provincial club like Atalanta, which sell their most valuable assets every year, then you're certainly not an average midtable coach.
The disaster spell with Inter says more about Moratti's post-treble Inter than him.
He has never coached Scudetto-candidates.
