------------------ABI------------------
--Abate--------SN---TS--------Furby--
----------Boss------------Noce--------
-------Aqua-----------------Muntari---
---------------------Binho-------------
-----------------Ibra------------------

Note: Merkel + Strass are available for any MF position.

If Prince is available:-

------------------ABI------------------
--Abate--------SN---TS--------Furby--
----------Boss------------Noce--------
-------Prince----------------Muntari---
---------------------Binho-------------
-----------------Ibra------------------

If we want Cass to enter.

------------------ABI------------------
--Abate--------SN---TS--------Furby--
---------------Boss/Noce--------------
-------Aqua-----------------Muntari---
---------Binho-------------Cass-------
-----------------Ibra------------------

In both cases IBRA should be a STRIKER without any decisive role in the building MF role.

I don't think aquilani would work very well in that position...

ATM, with available players i think this would be the best:

i think allegri should add width to the formation like it has become common in modern football
since allegri is trying to convert emanuellson in an offensive playmaker, which is obviously failing, i would try to let him play as a wing

4-3-3:
abbiati
abate - thiago - nesta - emanuellson
DM(please no van bommel)
boateng muntari(
el shaarawy cassano(emanuellson)
ibra

only thing which i dont like is that there is no real place for cassano, i really like his style of play but dont think he would like being a wing, since wings have to be bit faster

or 4-2-3-1:
abbiati
abate-thiago-nesta-emanuellson
2 DM's:eg. fellaini, tiote, lass diarra,muntari

boateng cassano el shaarawy
ibra

muntari had huge influence on the games he appeared so i would definitely buy him,

well that would be my preferred formation.

I think we can all agree that our best performance last season was against Arsenal home. Now in that game we had :

-----------Abbs------------
Abate---Mexes---TS---Anto
-----------MvB-------------
-----Nocerino----Urby------
------------Boa-----------
--------Binho---------Ibra

Now I suggest :

- Why no Urby in LCM? He did pretty well, is fast enough to help Antonini, and has enough technique to make things happen in attack.

-Binho had a scoring role in the game, so if Ibra is willing to pull back a lot like he did, Pato can have a great chance to shine.

-with Boa as TQ, we'll need a ball winner in the midfield trio, but the only one we have right now is Ambro, the rest are not pure ball winners.

-Mexes on a good day can be awesome, we have to find the way for him to be that awesome always.

-Nocerino should start in open games like this, that we can have a player without a special role. In games that we need speical skills from everyone ( Barca ) he should sit on the bench.

Allegri seems to suggest a Robinho treq and Urby to LB, and I believe this to be a good move.
I liked what I have seen of De Sciligio in the right back position and I believe that he may earn this spot ahead of Abate as the season moves forward.
Acerbi should hopefully be the CB we need. (I find Mexes a bit too unreliable.)

Of course:
Urby (CM or LB)
Abate (RB)
Prince (CAM)
Muntari (CM or DM)
Mexes (CB) <== Starting position if he can prove himself at Euro 2012
Binho (CAM, ST)

Would all slot nicely in

----------------------Abbiati------------------------
----------Mexes------Thiago-------Acerbi---------
---Abate-------------------------------------Urby--
---------------Montolivo----Nocerino--------------
-----------------------Boateng---------------------
--------------Pato------------------Ibra------------

this is a very adaptable formation, if one wing back pushes up, the other can slot on for a 4 man defence, or Thiago can push up to the DM position and start attacks.

I think a left wing back and another striker would be great additions

how about

I don't understand you talk about a left wing back addition rather than right wing back, because Emanuelson would be a very good left wing back, unlike Abate (right sided) who offers too little attacking wise in my opinion. Not only Abate, but also Nocerino's position I don't like. There should be someone who is a solid defensively, like Ambrosini and Strootman.

I would like to see something like this:

Ibra-Pato
Cassano - Prince
Lass-Monto
Urby-TS-Mexes-Abate
Abbiati

I would like to see better fullbacks and maybe someone instead of Mexes (Vertonghen), but that's highly unlikely just as Lass Diarra or keeping everyone of our best players.

Milan never use winger and our FB's is awful why we dont try box to box with false footed, i mean 3 MF's (Monty with 2 other boxtobox with false foot in the side):

---Noce----strootman---
--------Monty----------
--------defence------

or

---Boateng---Nuri sahin-------

Just a thought i had after watching italy game:

------------------Abbiati--------------------

-------Silva-----Ambro-----Yepes----------

----------------Montolivo--------------------

RM*------Boateng---Nocerino----Emmanuelson

------------Ibra/Pato-------Cassano------------

RM* - New Attacking beastly Full back(probably brazilian) , cant think of names atm.. honestly think Flamini could do a really good job there too, Abate probably not..

We seriously lack width at the moment and since we dont have the personnel to play an attacking wingers formation this is the best way we could get width out of the team making our approach more balanced especially against smaller teams.

Abate-----------------------------------------Urby
-------------------Montolivo-----------------------
--------Boateng---------------Aquilani------------
-------------------Cassano------------------------

In Milan you can't have Cassano as CAM. If KPB goes to RCM, RObinho will be CAM.

IN Juve, Cavani is a long shot, at least for now. And Giaccherini has never been a starter for them.

id like to see a 3-4-1-2 being played @ milan, especially when we had all 3 of nesta-mexes-thiago. However, I wanna see a back 3 of Mexes - Silva - Bonera/Acerbi or whoever else behind a midfield of abate - montolivo - muntari - emmanuelson and boa with ibra and pato/binho/cassano. with our current squad, it'd be interesting to see if that formation brings out more to milan. we clearly have a talented winger in urby and its about time we utilized him in his real position. by doing this we eliminate the need for a proper LB and save $$ which is what berlu loves. i'd also be interested to see how well ambro can adjust to playing as a sweeper if our cb's get injured. I'm sure he's tactically intelligent enough. either wise I'm happy with our 4-3-1-2 as long as we get that 1 missing link midfielder and nesta replacement

I completely agree, I think we should play like this from now using the most out of Cassano's amazing passing skills.

Abate - Acerbi - Silva - Urby
Monty - Nocerino
Prince - Cassano - El Sharawy
Ibra / Pato

Use the 4-2-3-1

@Raghav, that formation looks sexy but the defense is wrong. should be Mexes-Silva-Acerbi.

I don't get the will for Abate as our RWB.

who else in our squad could be placed in that position

The question should be why change to a formation that makes Abate your RWB, besides that I believe both De Sciglio and Antonini will be a better RWB than Abate. De Sciglio has shown more attacking skill (nice crossing) than Abate, and can only improve. Antonini can use his better foot more on that side, so he should offer more attacking wise as well. Both have done better than Abate anyway this season. I know Abate has had a better season the one before, but that was mostly because of his defensive attributes, so I don't like the idea changing him to a RWB.
