im joking dude. I know we'll get a stadium.
man, don't be so pessimistic, there will always be plan b
barbara is not all talk, and dubai based (fly) emirates will pump their money to this project
they lost to abu dhabi for bernabeu naming rights, and revamped camp nou will have qatar air in its name, they wont stand still
this fucken stadium will be built
What's new? There were always more projects to be submitted for the area. The final decision was always supposed to be in early March. March 10th I think.
If we do not get the area, we'll probably try a different part of the city and likewise change the design.
I hope we get this one though. It's perfect.
Doubt there's enough space for all this.A merging several projects would make it happened as I believe; just imagine a place with expo in technology, space technology theater and music facilities within our stadium that would make a gigantic and complete project; IMO.
It is a matter of Barbara's work and effort with the group of different investors to reach an agreement.
emirates already have arsenal stadium
i hope they cooperate together and submit a bigger project; that would be amazing!
But let us see what Lady B will decide!
Until now, there is a competition project for the same area!
Excellent post.Guys. It's all actually fucking great. After issue with stadiums in Poland still not breaking even after the last euro one of the managers actually calmed people down. No stadium owned by a big club with a size over 60k actually makes money unless or it's in the middle of a complex or belongs to a top current team from a central, known city and can command insane sponsorships fees f.e sell of a stadium name etc. New stadiums of Bayern, Bayer or even Schalke don't even break even and are supported by local councils which needs flagship arenas anyway. Huge clubs like Real or Barca make no money on the stadium itself, it's just a part of a whole set up. When you look at Real they probably make fe 520millions a year but spent 510millions. The key is no loss and being green after paying bills and salaries. Operating profits are almost non existent. Organising events and concerts generates tiny profit and sometimes they are events brought to citizens by local councils and end up in red regardless. It a total myth that the bigger the stadium the bigger the profit. Both Milan plans look like a commercial investments with the stadium being only a part of it. 48k is totally manageable and we don't need anything more unless we go back to glory times and can extend a bit. The money come from a simple idea that it's better to own property than renting one. The loss could be smaller than actually cost of playing on not owned by a club stadium and there are options of bank loans etc. or even signing a contract with a managment company specialising in commercial running of stadiums. 48k capacity stadium in the middle of a commercial complex is a great idea. It's not too small or too big at all.
Portello residents protested against stadium proposal
Portello residents have defined the AC Milan proposal as "an absurd and insane" choice. The 'No stadio al Portello' commitee (No stadium at Portello district) has protested in front of Palazzo Marino, the seat of Milan City Council.
For the committee, the proposed stadium is not a "priority" for the district, and it could create a series of critical issues. They proposed to build it in another location.
Who gives a shit?
Repubblica - Wang Jianlin always interested in the new stadium of Milan
According to reports from the Republic, which reports some rumors from China, Wang Jianlin continues to be attracted to the new stadium of Milan: the Chinese billionaire wants to invest in the plant fact that the Rossoneri would like to build the door, and does not seem to be interested in entering into company via Aldo Rossi.
