Hunter leaving would indeed be sad, but the fact that there are a lot of interested parties means that his signing was a good one in that we'll most likely make up for the amount we spent to get him.

Still, a 15 million signing should be given more time before being labelled a flop, and so Leo must try to play him more often especially with the Cup games coming up.

IMO, he should be tried together with Pato up front in a 4-3-1-2.

EXCLUSIVE MN: Huntelaar, when meeting Thursday to decide the future
04.01.2010 13.15 by Pietro Mazzara
Source: milannews.it

According to reports gathered by MilanNews.it in the day Thursday, January 7 would be in the program, took the seat in Via Turati, a meeting between management and the entourage of the attacker Rossoneri Netherlands Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. The agent of former Real Madrid and Oostrever Adriano Galliani should meet to discuss the future in the Rossoneri's shirt no.11, which is struggling to find. Huntelaar could also ask to be transferred, viewed as targets for attack by the market next summer club: Edin Dzeko and Milan Jovanovic.

From our current squad, it has to be Dinho, and then Clarence or Pirlo/Di G/etc. If they aren't effective in such a role, then its best we look outside and find someone that can.

4-3-1-2 requires central midfielders and strikers. With the current system, we are playing a striker (Pato) out of position + have 2-3 central midfielders on the bench. Makes you wonder whether our current setup is indeed what the doctor ordered.

That's simply not Ronaldinho's position. So I would say Seedorf, and it would be a waste to bench Ronaldinho. So unless you sell him then, I don't agree.

''a striker (Pato) out of position'' and in your formation Dinho is out of position... which harms even more IMHO

This is what I've been saying all along. Would you rather have Pato play in his preferred position, or would you have Dinho? Leo seems to think the latter, perhaps in an attempt to broaden Pato's capabilities and football knowledge. I think we're missing the electrifying football Pato played for some parts of last season, as he's been very poor of late.

Unless Pato doesn't have a bright start to 2010, I think a change of system should be at least considered. Flamini and Hunter would certainly like that.

hunt leave milan asap if you don't want to rot on the bench. you don't have to be einstein to realize leo hates him and puts him last in the pecking order. such pity.

Pato, because Pato doesn't suck out of position as hard as Dinho does. Ronaldinho as LW, and Pato as RW > Pato as SS, and Dinho as AM. Also Seedorf works better in 4-3-3 (if you play both Seedorf and Dinho) than 4-3-1-2, else Dinho is walking in Seedorf's space.

Dinho played as a trequartista early on in the season, and his form and fitness levels (not to mention confidence) seem to have improved since then. Leo should at least try him over there, perhaps moving Clarence to the left of a 3-man midfield or even rotating with Dinho. Gattuso, Becks and Flamini would also get a lot more playing time as would Hunter.

Neh.... we need Dinho for the crosses, in the middle we got Pirlo and Seedorf :)

Hunter should be given the start at the cup game and I also hope he is put on the field atleast as a sub wen both Beckham and Dinho are his 2 wingers and Dorf and Pirlo behind him. That's as ideal as it could get for hunter and if he still sucks then . We are having 2 real threats coming into the box from both the left and right sides since God knows wen ?

Normally Hunter is put in wen the side is winning comfortably and we have 3 defensive mids on the field with Dinho like yesterday. With the crosses Dinho and Becks were giving yesterday first half, would have been interesting to see what he'd have done.

I know G said he wouldn't tell anyone what went on during that meeting but does anybody know anything? I bet his agent just demanded more PT or something, b/c Hunt definitely doesn't look like he wants to leave.

I've been looking all day, nothing has popped up so far. I know the agent wants hunt to get more first team time, which he needs to get on the dutch NT, Hunt looked super happy on the bench at milan (im sure he wasn't happy to be on the bench, but he was happy to be a part of the team).

I have to agree with you though, hunt doesn't want to leave, but he wants to start more and be given more chances (but who wouldn't). I wonder if we'll loan him out, but now that pato might be out for a while, I'd rather we didn't or loan him to a club in exchange for a solid serie a striker. That way hunt can get first team time, and we have a solid backup. Doubt that will happen though

I still really like the idea of Borri and Hunt playing in front of becks and ambro like this:
------------------Pirlo----------------------
Beckham----------------------------Ambro
----------Borri-------------Hunt------------

After Ambro's performance I'd like him toward the middle of the pitch so he can be all over the place again.

won't be bad actually. Still it's an entirely new formation. More like the
4-2-2-2 that Pelligrini uses in Madrid. I like our 4-3-3 or the 4-2-1-3 Leo plays now better.

I didn't know how to quote 2 postings . I saw ur post too.

Great minds think alike. When I quote more than one I just ctrl+click quote to open it in a new window for each of them, then copy the quotes into one message.
