We may just have the new Luis Enrique on our hands.

I used to love that guy

but LE21's was a tough guy with a strong character, I don't see these types of characters emerge from youth teams anymore.

I honestly think he should be in the first team right now, granted he is strong enough.

You know, he's getting enough playing time as it is. No need to burden him with more in the senior team. Let the kid grow in peace.

Three of the biggest issues to why young talents never fulfill their potential is:

1: The pressure of becoming the next X- current star play in the same position. If he gets game time in Serie A with our senior team, he'll also get much more attention from media. I think very few people can handle that.

2: Which leads me to the next point, which is the mentality of a 16-17 year old. Kids doesn't always understand that the road to being a quality player is long. Early stardom can make it difficult for them to keep their feet on the ground and continue work hard and set goals.

3: They don't have fully developed bodies yet. To much playing time / to hard training regime can break their bodies.

The way DES and SES have been integrated into the team is really good, and look at them now. Cristante, Mastour, Petagna or whoever they are have enough things on their minds right now, they're playing in primavera and national teams, if they continue like this they'll get playing time in the first team soon enough (Petagna have already gotten a couple of minutes or more), no need to hurry. Besides, they probably can't make much difference for us now anyway, we have to play the best team possible as often as possible, and when we use subs, it got to be the replacements for the first team, to give them some playing time and match form so that they can be ready if the first team players get suspended / injured.

I'm not disregarding the fact that first team playing time and experience is important for youngsters. But there's no need to hurry and they have to get the playing time under the right circumstances. How old are these kids, 16? 17? And look at our situation, are we in Barcelona mode?

Above should be a generalization. Well, I assume we do not know enough info about Cristante from football abilities and football-related stuff like mentality, attitude etc.

I am talking now only about Cristante, I am still questioning why he has not get games in this season? He featured last season in CL although the game could be not important but still playing in CL for a very young player is something special. Abate and many young players have got games in this kind of the league so this kind of chance might be only random chance given for best Primavera player when there is unimportant game and right situation to insert the respective player to the game.

The second part leads the question is he has done well enough in the pra season, better than most of experienced players. He played also many games there. In my opinion, if he is really not ready for the first team due to his age, he might not get those regular chance in pra season. Milan have been also lacking of creative midfielders or at least players in the midfield who can read the game, plays the tempo, make accurate passes, etc. IMO Cristante could really give something good for Milan. Only seeing from his games, I have not seen something bad attitude like arrogant, lazy, etc.

Until now I only see a logic reason why he has not featured with Milan team is that he is very needed by Primavera team and/or Milan have something for him, a certain development so that he can be fully ready for Milan either as regista, CM or even CB.

this isnt already true? anyway that's beside the point. i hope cristante continues to do well. kinda scared that they have him all over the place, but at the same time, his footballing knowledge will grow. this will help him to become better in his natural position, which i think, is CM. and yep, young players like this need time and patience. not to be rushed.

Do you think it would work playing Cristante in central midfield alongside Montolivo (on the right)? I don't know Cristante's way to play. Aren't they too similar?

When you registered in November 2012, did you strongly believed in the rise of Pato?

He is a MASSIVE talent. 17 year old, plays DM, CM and even CB for Primavera. For the NT he has played at AM and got MOTM.
Specialist say he reminds them of De Rossi, and can make same 50m passes like DDR.
He is a captain material.
I think people need to realise what a talent we have in him. There's no need for Obiang or someone like that.
There is a reason Roma and Chelsea wanted to buy him.

I love reading this :proud:

When he's first team material we already got potential Milan-icons in evry row, DES Cristante SES, perhaps Perin as GK :star:

I know this. I just didn't manage to watch games where he played. So I have no idea how he plays. And because of that I asked if someone who know how he plays could answer me if there are any possibilities to let them play together.

What has this to do with Cristante?

even if he pulls an el shaarawy and dominates like him, that does not make obiang any less viable.he is ATM the best super young midfielder in serie a.we make a fair deal obiang+7.5 mil and samp can have pazzo

We don't really know why. But he trained with first team and I assume Allegri and other coaches know pretty well if he's ready or not to feature in the first team. They're paid for that and they know better than us

Yes, people around him knows Cristante. We fans know nothing except reading from news we get, that's why a forum like this is a good place to share information about Milan.

It would be appriciated if there is info or news about why until now Cristante has not yet get any chance with first team except last year debut, not even as substitute coming from the bench.

Yeah, that is one of the reason I could think, we don't want to rush him.
