we didn't play aquilani so that we won't have to purchase him. (can't remember the details of how many games that if he played we were obligated to purchase him and it's 6:30 AM here and i'm already late for work so i'm not gonna do a research

what he's saying that we pay the clubs that will take them on dry loan money (not the other way around) so we will make sure that our players get their apps.
maybe i'm wrong but that what i did understand from his post, not really sure his idea(even though it's interesting) is applicable let alone legal.

Maybe not but you can charge a loan fee and then lower the fee if they make x appearances. I believe someone did that to us, can't remember the player (maybe van ginkel?)

Its very very possible that we play 2-3 different formations with not more than 3-4 players (outside the defence) guaranteed to start every game.

Its how all big teams' squad are built these days.
