The youth team that Mastour played in on the vid scored 24 goals in 5 games and conceded only one goal. Modic is the top scorer and assist leader of the league. He plays right wing. Also Patrick Cutrone is an outstanding prospect. He plays center forward. Goal. com wrote an article on these two along with two barca youths they are touted as top u-15 prospects in the world. 5-6 years from now if all goes well, we'll have one of the world's best attacking forces.
The future:
Niang/Cutrone
El Shaarawy---Mastour---Modic
A lot of talent in that 1998 squad. That's the second year we've had VERY IMPRESSIVE Giovanissimi Nazionali sides.

Verdi was not as hyped as him...

In my country, were Italian football isn't even broadcast in TV... In the most popular football website they have a title "Incoming best footballer in the world?" and video of him... Everybody jizzin'

I never saw Verdi cut up defenders like that but Ash is right, they spoke of Verdi as an "offensive magician" and "destined to be in the first team" etc.

Just on the quotes you would think there was no reason to buy El Shaarawy.

Verdi at least did it against a better opposition. He was 17 and lead the team to a cup in a time when Primavera was U-20.

Anyway, I don't buy any hype for players that young. I've seem much more impressive players fail miserably in Brazil. In fact, most of those wonder kids don't made it.

No matter the talent, a player so young is always a big question mark. Thing for players is always much more about how they develop than what talent they seems to have at young age.

Quite true.

The one thing I like in the video is how he doesnt have to over elaborate to beat the defenders though he did pull out the tricks once he knew he could beat them easily. That is something that may be an issue when opposition improves but the fact that he is using ball control over physical ability is also promising.

Long road ahead but it would be splendid if he can fulfill his promise

Yeah, he uses his skills but he also seem to be more developed, physically and mentally than his opposition (well, tbh some defenders in this video look like 11 years old ).
But that's positive IMO.

Much more impressive?

I know you are all trying to be calm on him, which is right to do... But he is really talented...

But the next 4-5 years will be vital for him to develop even more.

Yep, 2 groups above. In between Giovanissimi Nazionali ( last match he played ) and Allievi Nazionali (this match) Allievi I & II Divisione .

I think it's U-16... for a kid that is 14 it's a big difference

Correct, it's Under 16.

Mastour should be playing for Giovanissimi Nazionale, but clearly he's overqualified.
Good that he'll see some playing time under Inzaghi this soon before playing for the Primavera

2 assists in 20 minutes, in a team he never played with before, against opponents 2 years older than him.
I think he's our man.
