Just finished reading Nineteen Eighty-Four... good god that was depressing..
Currently reading Confessions of an Economic Hitman. Anyone has read it before ?
Been reading "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" by William Shirer. It is said to be the definitive book about Nazi Germany (out of curiosity, not trying to emulate the evil ways). Tried to find it for years, finally have it last year and just started last week. 1,200+ pages and I'm only at the 'Munich Beer Hall Putsch'. Long way to go.
Does anyone have any reccomendations for self-developments books? Both financial and personal development.
I just finished rich dad poor dad and now started Dale Carnegie's how to win friends and influence people.
The Drunkard's Walk
?
More knowledge about financial and personal development = bueno.
How will it be personal development if you follow the instructions made by someone else?
how is it joyrider?
It's not about following instructions.
At least the books I'm looking for do not contain checklists of what to do to improve yourself, it contains different new views on social/bussiness interactions that can help you develop yourself.
Being proactive and searching for more knowledge on how to improve in a certain area is never a bad thing imo.
Reading in a book on how to make friends seems creepy to me.
what gobshite did you type mofo ? do i look like a commoder?
piss off dont meki me
I see where you're coming from but it's not what you think it is.
Enlargening your network for both social and bussiness purposes is something I consider very important. It helps if you know lots about the little things of communication. When you know more about social interaction you pick certain signals up quicker, in turn you can react quicker before the opportunity fades etc.
For me it's all about using knowledge for your own advantage.
Still sounds creepy to me.
Manipulation for money and friends; taught from a book... eek!
lol k.
in that case phsycologists are creepy aswell? They have a lot of knowledge about social interaction and human behaviour, no?
Or do they not use this knowledge for their advantage?
Enlighten me pls fredrik.
