There's a lot of charm in something hand drawn that gets a bit lost in 3d animation.

But I guess that's just my bias, being raised by Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny.

They've been dumping money into it for 2 decades now and it still looks subpar to hand drawn animation. Japan were right to drop it and continue to develop 2D animation. Even as an anime fan, I used to think Western animation was superior. Gutted that something like Korra or Avatar is the best western animation can bring these days. Although... I am half way through Netflix's Castlevania and it's actually pretty dope, especially since I'm a fan of the games.
