been discussing it to death. Flip boss for seedorf. It's like a dice, any direction you flip the diamond works.

aquilani on top, montolivo anchor prince and seedorf side-mids? Yes

seedorf on top, prince anchor? Sure we can try that too.

so versitile. So sexy.

Everyone will admire how amazingly awesome that midfield is. 4 players who can attack and defend on high levels. 2 white guys, 2 black guys. 2 domestic nationals, 2 foreign. So balanced. It's something the UN security council would endorse.

We're having a poor midfield and you wanna solve it by benched our best mid [Van Bommel]. I really wouldn't think about benching Van Bommel when facing teams like Inter. It's Van Bommel that was a bitch to Sneijder whole match long. When we have Boateng at some point there with your rolling dice game, for sure Sneijder either will score or Boateng will [a red card that is, eventually]. Having had Van Bommel in front of our defense is a major reason why we conceded so little goals in 2011. Let's keep it that way.

I agree keeping a mid four, but Van Bommel simply is a must starter. Without him our midfield would only get worse. And Van Bommel's attributes like passing are good enough anyway for your rolling dice game. Same goes for his backup Ambrosini obviously, he can play anywhere of course. ;)

with montolivo (if we somehow get him), aquilani, boateng, ambro, vbomm, rino, seedorf, we will have the most balanced midfield out there. so complete it's awesome. come on galliani, get monty, if it takes an extra 3mil, do it! we pay flams 5mil/year yet won't do a one time 10mil offer for monty? come on!

seedorf + ucl anthem>MVB

it's no knock on MVB, but when the anthem hits seedorf is some sort of combination of rijkaar/desailley/zidane/maradona. It's not fair.

Isn't it the kind of midfield Sacchi would love?

maybe. Sacchi also more or less invented the concept of a DM though. Even though Rijkaard was a lot more. Someone like gaiz or wild might have more insite.

But allegri has said in interviews he likes a lot of sacchi's principles in terms of movement and pressing etc. Then again who doesnt coaching wise? It's more who actually implements it...

Truthfully, as much as I like montolivo, kaka etc. my first choice midfield signing would be a hardworking winger/AM who drops back and defends. Someone who'd give us all the characteristics we need to complement aquilani's passing ability to organize the team, prince's workrate aggression and MVB's ability to clean up. Maybe Honda is that player? Maybe not... My two cents...

One shit game against totts where we were already getting kicked because of seedorfs legendary performance in first leg against Van Bomwall

van-bommel.jpg

Leave heavy work to professionals, lets stick with charity, microphones and signing on cameras

Sacchi shits on the concept of DM he want two CMs, DMs were there from the begining atleast from rocco days trap was the best DM we had/ anchor hard men with brain

I was amazed when sacchi took a dig at makele position at that time when every single pundit was going gaga on Claude

I am sorry, but that's a massive load of BS!

Where was Seedorf during the RM games?

Where was he during the Spurs 1st leg?

Just because he finally decided to show up in the second leg after being piss poor in the first doesnt mean that he ups his level for the CL. Only fanboys would use that sort of reasoning

you mean a player who had won plenty more with club team and had performed well with his nation :proud:

and a dutch captain who won all the leagues and champions league

a man who had great relationship with every single team he played and he got respect, instead of fucking around and sorted his head in Milan

Bommel the man who fight out in the field rather than kicking watter bottles and whining about contract, bommel who will die and kill on the field than showing off charity in football field :D

Bommel The Dutch captain the iron man who he is , he doesnt show off neither he gets booed off by his fans :proud:
Seedorf plays for himself, he wont give a shit when team needs him, but bommel is there when you need him, I am so sad we couldnt sign him after psv our loss barca and bayerns gain

Seedorf in Milan 1 league titles in 10 years :o bommel in 6 months, i cant wait to win 2 champions league and 2 serie titles with bommel next year :proud: no microphones

good god you guys are clowns. Obviously MVB is more than a DM and a great player....

Seedorf is a milan legend though and his qualities are far too undervalued here, which is odd...cause its.... a milan forum... i think?

When Seedorf is on his A game, he probably is our best midfielder, but the difference between the two wouldn't be so big I think. Van Bommel is more consistent though, so he gets my vote. It doesn't matter much to me anyway. Van Bommel should play anyway (in front of the defense our obvious best choice: a must pick), and Seedorf on his left. In my opinion we need both in the big games.

Truthfully, as much as I like montolivo, kaka etc. my first choice midfield signing would be a hardworking winger/AM who drops back and defends. I would prefer Honda over both Montolivo and Kaká too. Honda is an AM that also can play as CM, unlike Kaká who indeed isn't a real midfielder. And attacking wise Honda is so much stronger than both Montolivo and Aquilani. It has nothing to do with who is the best of them, they all are pretty good, but Honda seems to have the right charactics more than the others to be our AM (and also an extra LCM cover).

undervalued  I have watched how seedorf has been doing every single game for atleast 5-6 years :D

Lets make pirlo center of universe and make him play better than xavi, now control+f and replace pirlo with seedorf. Mission accomplished :D

Feel the same... Seedorf is highly undervalued... He is just a massive player, although in RM matches he wasn't very good... And like the Tottenham first leg...

But to get back on the thread, Monto is just the player we need for next season to have the balanced midfielder from before...

I said that because I remember reading on goal.com that Sacchi once said that the next tactical revolution would be a team where everyone can do everything [ something a long those lines]. Having a midfield of Montolivo, Aquilani, Van Bommel, and Boateng...would be a small step to that.

The question of Van Bommel being dropped (unless he needs a rest), is something Allegri will not consider, I'm reasonably certain. And thank god for that.

That has already happened with Cruyff, Rinus Michels and total football. Our midfield needs more time together to be compared to a Sacchi team or a Michels team..

for sure. Problem is there really aren't enough high level players who can do everything, and if you give me choice between that and some specialists who are world class in 1 ay but not another, i'd take latter and attempt to create a balance.

In that I mean I'd rather prime pirlo/gattuso over carrick/fletcher. But I'd rather have schweini/Yaya over both...

There really aren' THAT many mids who can truly do everything at a high level. I still agree with Allegri, it's more about creating a balance in theteam. :thumbs up:

Galliani needs to throw in a cheeky €10m + half of Paloschi bid for De Rossi too.

I have a question for you, you seem to be an ardent italian football fan, what the fuck is happening with these players who just saturated?
aqua
cassano
monty
ddr
shit loads of defenders

Are they just overrated in the beginning or not enough good coaching and clubs are not giving them enough space to evolve?

Thanks
