Personally I rate Platini higher for these reasons:

1.) More complete as a footballer (better passer and prolific goal scorer)
2.) Higher and more consistent peak
3.) Put France on the footballing map with his Euro 84 performance and helped them qualify to a world cup after 12 years (and did well in each world cup)

2) Your list is decent….but I get the feeling that you don't weight technique very heavily. Player for player, I cannot see anything ZZ has over Messi….Also Maldini and Nesta at their zenith would get destroyed by any attacker on that list

I agree i am not saying no, thats why i said almost lol. Adriano toyed with maldini and even nesta in his prime. Although maldini was probably past his peak at that point.
