unfortunately not possible, unless someone like rijkaard becomes our manager, ancelotti and co set the formation so we are very tight, hard to break down and very compact - this involves good determined and battling midfielders, we cannot have pirlo and ronnie alongside flamini as all the serie a teams will overrun us and outbattlle us especially in the tougher away games
we must have 2 DM's with then either 2-3 attakive mids and obviously 1-2 strikers , pato would work excellent as a second striker as he has loads of energy, can beat players with ease and allow likeso f sheva and borri to play last shoulder

abbiati

gattusso-flamini
kaka-pato-R80
sheva

i want to play pato in the middle which make him closer to the goal than on the wings...

i could split milan down to what i thnk would be there best 2 teams

---------------------------Abbiati---------------------

Bonera-----------Maldini-----------Nesta-----------Zambrotta

--------------------------Pirlo----------------------------

---------------Gattuso----------------Ambrosini------------

--------------------Kaka-----------Ronaldinho---------------

----------------Shevchenko--------

or

----------------------------Abbiati----------------------

Zambrotta-----------Maldini---------Nesta----------Jankulovski----

------------------Pirlo----------Flamini---------------

---------------------Seedorf-------------Kaka

--------------------Ronaldinho-------------------

-------------------Pato-----------------

i think they would be the best 2 teams for this season, jankulovski imo should start most away games when the team is naturally more defensive he can provide more attacking option as a left back

And what is your choice. Bonera-Darmian.
We simply dont have any one better at this moment. And thanks to our great managment its very possible that we will end up with no new defenders till the end of transfer window.
Oh wait I forgot we have Ambrosini who can play all kinds of positions including central defender. :o

i agree with superpato formations, they are very realistic and very 'milan like' but with alot more class than last season
on the kaladze front, he is top european class and apart from nesta and zambro is our best defender, truly underated player, dnt looks at him now, look at him when we beat the likes of utd with him in defence and the times when chelsea nearly snatched him

A balanced offensive formation:

--------------------------------Abbiati-------------------------------------

------Zambro/Bonera------Nesta-----------Kaladze--------Janku/Zambro----

---------------Flamini----------------Pirlo/Ambro---------------------------

----------------------Kaka-------------R80/Seedorf-------------------------

-----------------------Pato-------------------Sheva---------------------

either:

1. play zambrotta as RB, Jankulovski at LB, but take out pirlo from CM and put on Ambrosini or Gattuso to cover for attacks by wing backs.

2. Play Bonera RB, Zambro LB, and Pirlo CM next to flamini so as to maintain creativity from the middle with permanent attacks from LB and defensive cover by flamini and overall tougher backline with Bonera.

3. Zambro RB, Janku LB, Pirlo CM in desperate measures

A Balanced defensive one:

---------------------------------Abbiati-------------------------------

-------Bonera--------Nesta--------------Kaladze-------Zambro--------

--------------------Pirlo------------Flamini---------------------------

------------Kaka------------Seedorf----------Ronaldinho-------------

--------------------------Shevchenko/Pato/Pippo---------------------

I thought it was 'Preferred Formation' for the season. If not, my bad.

If Maldini does play though, I hope it's on the left. He tends to go forward a lot which is a very bad idea considering the state of the rest of our defense.

If Maldini is 100% fit he will start any match. He is limited to one match per week due to his chronic knee problem and he might not even manage to get to that. His influence upon the squad is undeniable.

Although if you ask me who's the next best I would go for a Nesta and Bonera combination. I believe Bonera has earnt his spot in the XI with some impressive and consistent displays over the past couple of seasons.

And it is a damn shame that he hasn't been given the opportunity to play CB with Nesta.

And centre forward too.. We have Senderos now anyway so we're not too bad at the back.

Ok Senderos is a bald Kaladze with more height... But when he plays frequently he's immense.

Ronaldinho-Kaka-Sheva hv alternatives in the form of: Seedorf, Pato, Borriello and Inzaghi. It seems to me that the one who'll suffer most will be Borriello. The others will all get their playing time.

i have all the respect and appreciation for maldini's career at milan and yes, he's still a great influence for the team and he is fantastic for his age.

but he shouldn't be considered for the first 11 imo. nesta was covering him all over, now even nesta can't do that.

nesta-kala, nesta-bonera, bonera-kala, that's my order. with senderos maybe for the first 11 with nesta if he adjusts fast and proves he's good.

For the match vs. Bologna

Abiatti
Zambrotta-Bonera-Kaladze-Jankulovski
Ambrosini-Pirlo-Flamini
Seedorf
Pato-Shevchenko

Gattuso is no longer a first team player. If he plays ahead of Flamini I will effin Spaz
Senderos needs time to adjust.
Ronaldinho isn't 100% fit yet, he can replace Seedorf after half if anything.

Please, turn it up champ.
Maldini displayed last season on the biggest stage, against a younger team - Arsenal, that he is still capable of putting in World Class performances and was arguably the best player or there abouse on the park both times.

Nesta had 2/3 of a brilliant campaign last season, and at times got taken to school by the likes of a Reginaldo. So, don't make up bullshit that Nesta was covering his ass.

were not goin to win trophies with maldini playin 90 mins every game....so we wnt he will either start and come off or be used as sub to come on and tighten things up, therefore he isnt first team but ye from what i saw he did do great but it all to simple to outpace him so he shud be a CB only, bottom line is we havnt got another world class CB to slot into the team to we must keep relying on maldini until we get someone who is top class

It certainly wasn't the other way around :)

Both were/are great CB's. Nesta is 32, Maldini 40. Nesta can play one full season (if he's not injured) world-class, Maldini can't. Nesta has pace, fitness, reflexes, Maldini has just a percent of what he had 10 years ago. It's that simple. One match, like the one with Arsenal, yes, but that's an exception imo, not a habbit. It's impossible to have the pace and the fitness at 40 to compete at this level. He's great influence to the team, he can be reliable if no other solutions, but not as first choice and not before Kala/Bonera/even Senderos maybe. My 2 cents, I'm sure you don't agree :)

I repeat, he was a fantastic player, it's fantastic that at his age he can still make a performance like the one against Arsenal last year (I remember perfectly the San Siro match, he was great, all heart, he was the first guy I felt sorry for when we lost), I have all the the respect and appreciation for him but I simply don't consider him a first choice player at this age.
