The thing that sucks about Conti is that he has this weird way of playing, he's always extending his legs dangerously to poke at the ball beyond his opponent. I don't know why but I have a feeling this eccentricity made him such a good player but also maybe susceptible to this sort of injury.

Abate isn't half as bad as many of you say.

Hopefully Calabria thrives in that position.

Hope Conti comes back healthy and stronger than before, really unfortunate for him.

Absolutely gutted.

Wish him a speedy and fully recovery, these kind of injuries often absolutely ruin many fine players and athletes in general.

My exact thought seeing his dangerous tackling technique as well. It's also dangerous for opponents too as his shoe was placed relatively high. Anyway wish him a speedy recovery without any complications!

I was going to say this.

Would be unfortunate but the good thing is he is still young.

The problem is Abate is injury prone, so we can't fully count on him. If we have a good enough back up for kessie i would play him as wing back in the big games. OR.........wait for it........what if........all of a sudden we tried Borini there and he became a star lol....like victor moses

Calabria is a terrible player. Has little to do with his age and more about him just not being good enough for this level

This actually may not be a bad idea. Hard work and off the ball movement are Borinis strengths, a huge requirement for the role.

milan would need a genius like conte to coach him into the role, our average coach can't do that.

I expect to see calabria starting vs SPAL, oh the joy.

Yes. At least Borinho's backpasses now will reach Musa/Bonucci and lead to buildup. Also he's actually fast and can fight for the ball. Can't say the same about Calabro.

How? Even if he started just flat out defecating on the pitch I wouldn't be surprised at this point. If he came out and said "Hey guys, I'm actually 50 years old" I wouldn't bat an eye because he's slower basically everyone - I am still haunted by watching him lose to Maccarone in a sprint :fp:

Borriello plays for SPAL - way to pacey for Calabria
