Just finished last nite: All the President's Men (about Watergate scandal)
Just starting : Casino (made into movie with De Niro, Sharon Stone and Joe Pesci, directed by Martin Scorsese, i guess you know that).

What about the rest here? Magazines regularly read not included

Loved the movie never got around to reading the book until now.
The details thst book goes into both about what was shown in the movie and not shown were great. Lots of back story here on Frank and Tony which made for some good reading.

I recently started reading Carl Jung's Red Book off a friends recommendation. The book consists of Jung's metaphysical exploration of his unconscious self compared to his conscious self and expressed through hundreds of pages of gothic calligraphy and his own paintings to compliment his insights. The book had remained unpublished until 2009 and without even considering the material inside the book is a great feat of artistry. It's a good asset to anyone looking to dive deep into their own mind though be warned, the book is massive in size if you go for the hardcover. Its not a normal textbook to which I assumed upon purchase. though the full scale scans of the calligraphy and paintings makes it well worth to study.

Attached is a size comparison to Arabian Nights, a standard leather bound hardcover book.

It’s positive on all fronts.

I picked up this book in Bangalore long time
What a marvelous book . Walter Isaac son’s book is puff piece compared to this. He is writing one for Elon. This was Pulitzer in 1939. I recommend every youngster to read it even if they don’t like America

I read this one before I came to America. I didn’t know there was a series by name

Last few pages is just whatever

only reason is I couldn’t get a proper map. Easier to follow through if you are not completely familiar with Old Greece, Aegean Sea and Old Persia.

If you don't have some compassion you should skip this. This is absolutely insane but simple evolutionary biology book written by great E O Wilson.

Trigger warning:

Gives a simplistic but I think effective outline for many of human nature. Book was written in 1979.

I have read all or most of his major books and owns them
1. Consilience : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consilience_(book) : Only in schools there is a boundary between subjects in real world it maps over each other. Good book if you have a middle school kid in your house.

2. Sociobiology: The New Synthesis : Deeper book, I couldn't delve into it much or too much raw information should be consumes in bits
3. Ants: His Magnus Opum, read it out of respect. Sheer amount of effort put into it blows your mind.

On Human Nature is tiny but excellent excellent book.

What did you envisage on ayahusca?
I want to try Salvia so bad lol i'm not finding a reliable seller nor time for it. I heard it's a very short but strong kit and it feels like ages.

I started LD a long time ago, this book helped a lot to put into perspective.
It's easy but takes patience before you can get the grip in a dream.
There are several techniques for it, i use the WILD technique.

Solid book.

Read it if you can remember something from the high school.
Third chapter was hard on my visualization but I reread it. But it is the source of all energy.

Nick Lane is a wonderful science writer. Life Ascending is little hard book but author is adept to make you understand something. Like Einstein said

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.

Some hypothesis but very good read.
