His passing is nowhere on par with him. The only reason that it works for Messi is that Villa and Pedro can all rotate between the positions, and do frequently. Pato is a true striker, whose best numbers come as a striker.

No, he can't.

What's with the 4-3-3? Both Ibrahimovic and Pato aren't suited for that. Even Robinho behind Pato and Ibrahimovic makes more sense, and hey, you'd play with the exact same players! Milan should most definitely sign a new attacking midfielder.

And I would be happy with both Aquilani and Montolivo. (Or just sign both; we could use both!)

I agree. Pato is a striker. Müller is not only a striker, but also a complete forward who also can be used as winger and attacking midfielder. Müller got much more work rate; he can be all over the place. Pato really isn't suited to play wide. His contribution defensive wise is way too low for that.
