I agree about hostel.
House of wax contain more sick scenes.
But I think the idea about hostel is sick & not the scenes.
2 have ppl pay money just 2 enjoy killing other ppl.

I've just watched Crank, and I can tell you that the movie sucks badly. The whole idea of the movie is bad, I really expected something better. Wasted 2 hours of my life.

Speaking of which I just saw Green Street Hooligans and that was pretty much pointless. It was like Football Factory without dialog and only sound effects at the brawls. And ofcourse the usual hollywood storyline-new environment, family difficulties, right thing to do, what did it all teach, cliche, cliche, cliche. I'll give it a 5.

About Football Factory, Tribute to Billy Bright :D

Last movie i've seen is The Departed. Leo Di Caprio and Matt Damon where great, Jack Nicholson was just being Jack :D , Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Alec Baldwin where all very good.

I've just seen a great comedy called Talladega Nights. The bad (french) guy is played by Sacha Cohen. Here is a great dialogue between him and the main characters (the americans):

imdb said:
Ricky Bobby: We? No, we are not French. We're American, because you're in America, okay? Greatest country on the planet
Jean Girard: Well, what have you given the world apart from George Bush, Cheerios, and the ThighMaster?
Ricky Bobby: Chinese food?
Cal Naughton, Jr.: Chinese food.
Jean Girard: That's from China.
Ricky Bobby: Pizza.
Jean Girard: Italy.
Cal Naughton, Jr.: Chimichanga.
Jean Girard: Mexican.
Ricky Bobby: Really, smarty-pants? What did French land give us?
Jean Girard: We invented democracy, existentialism, and the blowjob.
Cal Naughton, Jr.: Those are three pretty good things.
Ricky Bobby: Hey.
Cal Naughton, Jr.: That last one's pretty cool
:D sweet

A couple of days ago I went to the movies to see a Spanish/Argentinian film called El Método (The Method)... it's really good and very interesting, it mostly takes place in the same room, with 8 characters...
7 of them are being "interviewed" for a position at an important company, there is no one of the company (except the secretary), and this people have to eliminate each other after some tests (mental and psychological), as the movie progresses the environment grows hostile and paranoiac, they don't know who to trust... I really recommend it, great performances :star:

Anyone have any good suggestion for our next poll? The James Bond poll is quite outdated now.

Well, it should be about the Oscar nominees, since the list will be public tomorrow. I'll try to see most of the films nominated, like every year. It's been easy in the past, but now that I work, I don't really know if I'll have the time.

The Academy Awards nominations will be announced today, right?

the only award that's been announced is the special one to be awarded to the great Ennio Morricone :star: (original score composer; his works: Cinema Paradiso, Malena and Mission To Mars)

Out of all the movies on that list, I've only seen "The Departed" (good but that's it), "Blood Diamond" (good movie with excellent acting from the main two characters - Leonardo Di Caprio and Djimon Hounsou), "The Pursuit Of Happyness" (average at best and incredibly boring), United 93 (good directing indeed).

I'm probably going to see Babel, Children of Men and Borat as well. The rest of the movies (after a superficial judgement by name only ;)) don't appeal to me much.

It was kinda' cute, at least the main character (Jessica Biel) was. I cannot forget the moment in which she's running and her tits jump up and down.
