Can someone give me Ely's official Height and Weight . I cant seem to find much on him . I know he is 17 and that he is about 1m85 to 1m90 tall .

Thanks

Then Pasini? First team?

Pasini not good enough for first team. defenders need experience, so he will go on loan to serie c, d... Allegri don't trust even Sokratis, a player international (greece), because Pasini will absolutetly go on loan

Thiago Silva. "Rodrigo Ely will become a great defender"
05/18/2011 11:30 Peter Mazzara

During interviews after the San Siro Gentleman, the AC Milan defender Thiago Silva has been approached by a colleague of **********, Salvatore Riggio, about the young Brazilian defender class of 1994, Spring, Rodrigo Ely, indicated in his homeland as the ' heir to the Rossoneri's number 33. The same Thiago gave his blessing to his compatriot, saying: "It 's a great player. Sometimes he has trained with us. In my opinion, will become a good defender. "

I like this guy, he makes the defense better even yet not significantly since our defense overall is crap but at least he showed promising game. He should be our starter in defense next season. In the game vs Roma he was not that good (not also bad) but as I said our defense was bad in that game (the fullbacks and also Albertazzi). I'd say, Ely was better defensively than the other three defenders (Albertazzi, De Vito and Ghiringhelli). From CBs I've watched, I rate Ely as our best CB, then Albertazzi and the third one Pasini (the worst from the three IMO).

Anyone can confirm if Galliani mentioned his name from our Primavera players who will be included in summer friendly games?

He was included initially but was later replaced by Valoti as Allegri felt he wasnt ready...

Thank you. Sometimes I am confused with this boy. He was called up to senior team when we lacked of defenders (Silva had to play as DM) and has trained with senior team for a couple of time although he was not starter in Primavera. There was Albetazzi who is much older and more experienced but Ely who got Allegri's attention.

I still hope Allegri will call him for summer friendly games.

apparently he will be the third choice CB during preseason. Best of luck since Nesta and Bonera probably wont be able to make all the games

Bonera should not play at all ! He shouldn't even be in this squad !

Sell him !!! + Antonini ! THEY ARE USELESS !!!

Get Zapata/Ogbonna, and some other maybe.

If Ely Performs well, then maybe we don't have to get 2 defenders, then just one.

Why didn't he get any minutes? Is he too young to play?

Good to hear it, Ash. I thought he didn't take a part in our first friendly game because he is just too young and not ready even for a Serie D-friendly game match but then I also thought about Calvano who also didn't play (El Shaarawy I heard having a problem with his knee). So, there is still big chance to watch Ely play. :)

Thanks Ash.

I realy like what i saw.Ely will be great cb in the future, sure it was his fault for the second goal, but that credit goes to inexperience. He has great reaction, its a bit slow,he can be accurate with long balls. All in all he can be future of Milan defence,he has talent, just need to develop right, in environment such is in AC Milan Ely can achieve that. Dont forget he is 17 year old.

Thing is, he is clearly not ready to play in Serie A ....but a few glimpses of him really showed he might have a good future. Good Luck !

For me Bonera played a good game. This was my first game that i watched Rodrigo and im really impressed.Pleasantly surprised of Ely.Years are ahead of him,for the moment he cant compete at top level thats for sure, but in the distance of 4-5 years he will be in Milan first squad im sure about that.

Wait, it wasn't him who made those 2 awful passes on the first half? I still think it was him ... add the goal to that and we get an awful game. Not to slack the kid(it was his debut?) rather than the judgements on his 'good' performance.

Why are you blaming Bonera?

Alongwith Cassano and Urby he was probably one of our best players on the pitch today
