Let's win this. EL money will be a nice guarantee. I say this, not to jinx it, but should be a more manageable game that Bodo/Glimt. We knew their quality, unbeaten in so many games etc. Rio Ave beat a weakened Besiktas team and barely scraped by.

We still concede too easily. Our defense in the Bologna game was shameful at some decisive moments, not too mention Glimt scored two times against us. Pioli definitely has some work to do there..

hard to compare teams from different leagues but rio ave in league has 2 draws against midtable teams and draw against besiktas (messed by covid).
from some minutes i saw they are less technical but more physical team with some quality in attack but without finish.
interesting match since its only one game, sad we are so limited at this moment.
hope for some nice 2:0 acm win.

Leao has to start. If he goes for Colombo that means he really doesn't have faith in Leao as a CF which is a shame. We can't have so many options at LW and so few up front. Leao has to be used as a CF as much as we can. I'm certain it can work.

He has already said he isnt fit enough to play the entire match so why would he start him. He has also said in the past he sees him more as an SS / LW

We will see how the season plays out but Leao needs to respond to the challenge of the coach first and there will be enough games for experimentation and experience. We dont need to do that in decisive ones.

Still I think he will come on and toy with this team in the second half.

Samu has been such a weak link so far, it will be interesting to see if Diaz starts on the right again.

If Leao has a good 45 mins in him then I might be tempted to start him on the left and Salad on the right and go for early goals, if he only has 30 in him then let him play the last 30.

I think it will be an easier game than Bodo given there's no mismatch in fitness levels this time.
