I think a perfect anthem for Milan would be Andrea Bocelli's Vivo Per Lei (I live for her). Beautiful song and apt too.

Pretty much everybody in Italy know Nino D'Angelo, he sings in Neaples dialect and he also acted in a few minor italian movies in the 80s...but please there's better music you can listen to from Italian singers!! :tongue:

i was just ytring to find out if he's so famous over there as he is over here....not that i would even listen 2 his music... U know...last year he came to a music festival from romania (the golden stag).... and he was supposed 2 sing "senza giaca & cravatta" (don't think i spelled it right)...and let me tell u that he was doing a horrible playback..... AND HE FORGOT THE LYRICS!!!!!.. can u believe that?... the tape was going on and on, and he wasn't moving at all....... + i never liked the guy from the start

Zucchero!!! no one ever mentioned him, I think it´s easy to understand what he says ("senza una donna" it´s good actually and there´s one version in english/italian) and he has a good song with Maná (from Mexico) called "baila morena" with two versions, one in spanish and one in italian... I like it, my favorite is actually "Diavolo in me" quite good for jumping around!!!!

Laura Pausini is really good, both Italian and spanish, great songs!!!, Tiziano is good as well and it´s amazing how good those two speak spanish, Tiziano speaks a perfect "mexican" spanish, honestly, he´s good, and extremely funny!

If you want corny italian songs, how about the italian songs from Oceans' twelve? ornella vanoni and piero umiliani...

For me the best Italian singers are loredana Berté, Lucio Battisti and Zucchero...

I bought the single for Ciao mamma when in Rome. I'd love to see the video for it!

I have to say, Lucio Battisti is good and I really like his song "Il mio canto libero." Unfortunately, Jubenders covered the song for the album Milan sang ciao mamma.
