Milan, idea Suso del Liverpool

imgres-2.jpg

Un nome nuovo per il Milan, Jesús Fernández Sáez. O meglio, Suso.

So we are going after young&promising player and if Inzaghi wants him i have nothing to complain about as long as we spend some money on quality midfielder.

So what do you guys think?

Taarabt or Suso?

Isn't he another winger? Can't see it happening in such a short amount of time. His contract is up in 15 so maybe they are looking to take him for free then.

Its on again it seems

Will we end up with 8 attackers for 3 spots or do they see Suso in a Saponara role?
Either way, hes very talented and only 20, seems open to leaving and its too good to miss out considering it will be for peanuts since his contract is up in 2015.

edit:

Milan are working for Suso: the situation

Milan are targeting Suso. The contract of Liverpool’s attacker expires in 2015, Milan are very interested. They aim at blocking him for the future. They would like to be the frontrunners, if he didn’t renew with Liverpool. They are negotiating with the player. Milan are seriously pursuing Suso, he’s a concrete target for the future. Milan-Suso, new developments are expected, maybe the decisive ones.

Oh now it makes sense. Milan want to block the player for the next summer to join them for free if he doesnt renew with L'Pool. Its not excluded Milan could bring him now either tho.

how would they "block" him, isn't it forbidden to negotiate with a player unless he has <6months on his contract ?

Yes, but a lot of talk goes not directly to the player but to his agent or one agent talks to another agent. Juventus contacted Llorrente one year before his contract finished. They even offered to buy him at the time (kinda like what we did with Honda) but Bilbao refused to sell him.

So the short answer is yes, it is forbidden. The long answer is that for it to be forbidden, the other club has to prove it and that very rarely happens. More often you have to be careful which players you're poaching because you risk alienating the other club and furthermore, that club can do the same thing to your players.

I reckon we'll get suso in jan and I expect if sap doesn't perform he gets loaned. Rabiot is different. Alot of clubs were after him and probably dropped out due to PSG asking for a hell of a lot of money for a player almost out of contract. Come January you'd think he'll be a lot cheaper if he still hasn't renewed

Suso, il Milan si sente sicuro

04/09/2014

Di Marzio reports Milan are safe about the Suso deal and have virtually blocked him for the 2015 when he should join for free (most probalby, altough Jan isnt excluded). Milan appear to have beaten the competiton of Bourssia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid. Suso's will was the key, Italy is in his destiny.

Milan are targeting yet another Premier League player: they are pursuing Liverpool’s Suso. The contract of the Spanish attacker expires in a year’s time and Milan blocked him: it’s unlikely that he’ll arrive before next season. Both parties are ready to close the deal, now they just need to wait for when it will be possible to formalize the agreement. Milan beat the competition from Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid, which negotiated the purchase of Suso from Liverpool for a €3M fee. Milan moved early, relying on the desire of the player. Suso’s future seems destined to be in Italy with Milan.

last i heard on rabiot is that juve. had an agreement with his mother, whom from what i hear, is his agent. But, the likes of chelski, arsenal and even roma were hot on his tail and willing to spend whatever money to get him. Don't know much on this suso, as others may know more, but he seems to be a solid talent. So, if we could get him for cheap or free, why not?

Just asked some friends, Liverpool fans, what they think about Suso. They actually rate him very high, told me it was Brendan's big mistake letting him go (like he's already out), great prospect with good playmaking (?) skills, one of them said he's better than Lallana :D

So more and more positive things about him

Very nice  Seems like a real talent, but obviously just a prospect for now, maybe ahead of Niang but not yet ready to start.
Hes only 20.

I too spoke to a few of my Liverpool friends and just read comments online and in general people are saying this a massive mistake and they dont see why Rodgers isnt giving him a chance.

Glad we secured him.

All touches vs Atletico -

He scored the 2nd goal for Liverpool vs us this summer IIRC.

Bad part is he hasn't been sent on loan and risks being without football for the whole season. Could certainly need more top division experience before arriving here.. Not too optimistic about this.

Played the last season in Almeria. But think this year he will play with the reserv team since he didn't move this summer. Or who knows, Galliani might try to get him in January if he doesn't got to play at all.

Out for a walk.
Shows a lot of sloppiness and seems raw overall. As Goodfella said, it will probably hamper him not playing much until, and if, we get him. And even though our wings are pretty wide open for starting spots, I can't see him uprooting our current players.

Milan & Suso reach agreement: the details of the deal

18/09/2014 - 00:33
di David Amoyal

Suso will leave Liverpool to join Milan, the only question remaining is when. The Spanish prospect born in 1993 has reached an agreement with Milan on a 4 year deal with annual salary of around €1.5 million net. It still needs to be determined if Liverpool will let him leave for Italy in January in exchange for a small financial package or if he’ll join the rossoneri on a free transfer in June. The two clubs will discuss it since Milan will make an attempt to bring him to Italy sooner.

Amoyal made a mistake in translating tho, as Di Marzio's original article states around 1m a season, NOT 1.5.

1m a year salary for him is perfect. My impression is that this is a move towards next year when Van Ginkel will leave and we are hoping that one of Suso, Saponara or Bonaventura will be able to play there.

Considering that Taarabt takes 3+ million a year, I think Suso is a better deal. Big part will depend on his focus and willingness to improve. If Suso comes in January, it's very possible that at least one of Niang/Saponara will leave on loan (or be sold) especially if we don't have other injuries by then and assuming Montolivo will be ready to play.

I think it's the perfect type of signing. No money spent, low salary, fairly good technically and very young. Also from some highlights seems able to play both counterattack .

The only problem is if this signing means that Galliani is considering whether to sell one of our good players (El Shaarawy?) at the end of the season
The other problem is that most likely Liverpool won't play him at all during this season.

A friend of mine who watches a lot of La Liga tells me that Suso is a noticeably slow player when playing on the wing and struggles to get past defenders because of this and might do better in a more central position. It seems even most center backs have not much difficulty in matching Suso for pace. The guy tells me close control is Suso's best quality. I am now skeptical about buying him to use him as a winger. Perhaps a central midfield spot might be better for him in the 4-3-3. Has anyone here seen a lot of Suso in action?

Either way, he is pretty much a signing with no downside, so I am all for this deal for now.

Even slower than Honda according to that friend of mine. I wouldn't read much into it, though. He's a good young technical player. We can't really go wrong with that.

He'll be playing in Serie A. He might just pass for a winger in our league.
