Honestly i'm happy for him. He deserves it, it's a hard working guy, i hope he will succeed at Atletico.

Good for him. I was hoping to see him do it here, but it is nice he got to go home and have some success.

His goals were solid, but let's not get carried away by a small sample size.

Agreed, it could just be a one off. It's a given that he would get better service at Atletico as the quality of players is far superior compared to Milan but he had that at Chelsea as well but to no avail.

he did have quality players at chelsea, but not the service he used to get at pool

I hate sturidge for making 3256 dribbles and 0 passes to torres

...not, Menez will not pass it that often to Torres, like he is serviced in Atletico Madrid. Honda is only player who seeks those passes, Menez would look for dribbles and holding the ball.

Probably should have just kept his mouth shut here.

Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres says his expectations were ?not met? during his time with Milan.

The Spaniard was welcomed as the Rossoneri's most notable signing last summer, but his inconsistent performances saw him signed permanently and then immediately loaned out to former club Atletico in December in exchange for Alessio Cerci.

Looking back at his Italian experience, Torres recalls being disillusioned.

?Were the struggles down to a physical matter? No,? he considered in an interview with AS released today.

?I went with expectations and ideas that were not met. I went to Italy to play, to be an important player and I didn't feel like that at any moment.

?I went in and out of the team, one day I played and the next I didn't. It's not what I had agreed from the beginning.

?My relationship with the club was excellent and I have no reproaches.

?But when you see that things are neither going to change nor to improve, you feel uncomfortable.?

Sure, he tries to recover at the end, but he could have said that in a much, much better way.

Yes he could of. The simple retort is of course Torres didn't fill any of our expectations.

Oh well, whatever.

He was one of the worst if not the worst player in the game that Atletico lost to Celta and was replaced at half time. That said, Celta scored both goals on the second half so someone might argue that whoever replaced him didn't do a much better job.

It's amazing how someone that used to be so good can play so badly...
