All this talk of Modric deserving Ballon just bc he might win the WC in the same season he won CL... Iniesta scored the winning goal to his WC, he won the CL & LL all in the same season yet he didnt win the Ballon.

And going by your logic Sneijder deserved it more than him that season.

In a World Cup year. Modric should definitely be in the running. Amazing achievement in taking Croatia to the Finals of the WC.

Sneijder actually was the true Ballon D'or in 2010 but FIFA stole the award. (Iniesta would've lost on 2 points ... closest margin, I'd guess) And Ribery would have gotten it 2013 by the original rules.
