Ferdinand > Terry
Richards > Johnson
Carrick > Henderson
Lennon > Walcott/Downing
Sturridge > Carroll

Can't believe the squad that Terry chose :fp:

He left out Richards?

Only 7 defenders, I see. 3 of whom are pure wingbacks. One is a 19 year old utility player? IS he mad?

Also... No Smalling?

I think england is generally short on talent for euros anyway but the call ups make no sense?

There is a much bigger list than just Sturridge that are better than Carrol. You could pick at least 5-8 English strikers that are all better than him.

True.

Nothings changed with that team. Another tournament where England will be unable to keep the ball for longer than 2 minutes at a time

Don't see what Phil Jones has done to be selected either. Richards is better at RB, and can you imagine Jones playing at CB against Spain, Holland or Portugal? :fp:

I was looking forward to the Euros because if could have been a team I liked, but not now. I'll only give a toss from a United stand now. Hope Welbeck in particular has a good tournament. Don't care what Rooney does. Don't like the guy apart from when he's playing for United.

Also... No Smalling?

Smalling and Walker are injured.

Oh and as for Ferdinand, it could well be that he doesn't want a Ledley King type situation, which Ferdinand essentially is now.

How in the world does Phil Jones get in ahead of Chris Smalling? :fp:

Hodgson is every bit the idiot I thought he was

I think Smalling's injured, although there's still many better candidates than Jones. Some his performances in the second half of the season were pretty bad.

Many United fans dislike them just as much.

Smalling is injured, as is Walker. Richards is still better than Jones though.

Rio has played 3 times in a week often. Anyway most teams rotate a bit in the tournaments. How many Spanish players started every game when they won the Euros?

Even English people dislike the English national team.

they used same lineup from knockouts on.

usually teams try to win first 2, so they can rest 3rd, and then go with set lineup on.

Changes come with suspension or injury. Rarely see more than 1-2 change if a manager can avoid it.

Guys, just because Hodgson didn't call up Ferdinand... cut him some slack ffs.

He obviously made what he considered the best judgement... if he was gonna bring Ferdinand then the Chelsea fans would be in the exact same boat as you.

Overall, who freaking cares? Wow!! Hodgson didn't call up the CB from my club

Get the fuck over it. I don't agree with every decision the English FA and the manager make, but I still support them nonetheless.

From this forum the ManUtd fans are so bitter. "Waaaah I don't like England because he called up Terry!! Wwuuuaaaaaaahhh"

My god.

Even though I'm glad they didn't, if Hodgson didn't try for Scholes he should be shot. I can see a midfield of Scholes, Carrick and Milner working well together.

I've got a feeling Hodgson will stick Welbeck on the left, which will piss me off.

He didn't leave, he was sacked.

I stand corrected.

Some transfer news:

Hazard's brother has said on twitter that he is going to City.
Kagawa confirmed that he and his agent met Fergie at Old Trafford yesterday.

I generally think roy hodgson is a very good manager, but his selection is :fp: worthy.

he didn't pick carrick who is pretty much the best CM in england, richards should have been called up as well.

ferdinand should have been called up instead of jones.

oxlade? really? downing

crouch deserves to be called up IMO.

looks like zlatan is going to play in the quarters

3/4 hilarious decisions and quotes, but in general the core is what's expected anyway. That Pirlo quote is hilarious, anyway - I get Jones going for the experience (and he's versatile) but he should also have taken Smalling in that case... or Smalling instead...

Confusing Pirlo and Ambro with Nocerino and Urby happens ALL the time, same as confusing 2008 Milan facing 2012 Arsenal, common mistakes.
