It's been too long since this was posted:

I love it how the Pool fans don't mind admitting most dives..but when it comes to the 05 CL final(their proudest moment of the last decades), which was one of the most obvious ones, nah Gattuso kicked him, nah it was the other guy who tackled, nah both of them did, they pushed him, 100% clear penalty.

Actually, Pool fans defend all of those. It's been posted on RAWK about 50 times by trolling United fans

There was an even better video with about 20 dives (also a gif of it) called "Gerrard the starfish", but so many Liverpool fans flagged it that youtube took the video down.

Seriously? NO CRISTIANO RONALDO?!

Dude won a balon dor and was leading scorer on a treble team. 3 straight league titles..... exactly how many epl players have won balon dors in this era?

IF you're talking best foreign epl players it has to go henry, cantona, ronaldo (no particular order). Each had huge influence on league and it's growth.

But to not put him in best 11 is a joke.

MY best EPL 11 which would probably stretch to mid90s-ish.....

Ronaldo is the best ever player in the Premiership, though his 'peak' was only two, maybe 3 years so Henry should win best player IMO, though it wouldn't suprise me if Shearer won best striker. Really wouldn't suprise me if Terry won best defender and Gerrard won best midfielder either.

Why is Henry and Ljundberg in there?

Both their best years were after 2002. Vieira potentially too...

?

ljundberg's best ever season was the 2001-2002 season, henry entered beast mode as soon as he arrived.

Nah Vieira and Petit formed is amazing partnership around 98. He remained at that level until he left tbh.

VDS? Really?

I love the guy - one of the all time greats, but Schmeichel was much better. VDS was better with the ball at his feet but Schmeichel was better at everything else. Couldn't ask for 2 more contrasting styles though. VDS was a calming influence who would contantly talk to the defence whilst Schmeichel was a loud prick who would start fights with his own defenders on the pitch and scare everyone shitless

yep, no contest.

I think the top scorer in the history of the league has something to say about that. No contest. Shearer led Blackburn. Blackburn. to a premier league title. And lead Newcastle into his 30's. Technically not as good as Henry, but his contribution to the premier league is unrivalled.

If ManU get him, not Solsjkaer, he'd be seen as the best striker the league has seen by a way. But they didn't. And so he gets thrown into the same category as Cantona who quite frankly isn't anywhere near his standard.

Don't kid yourself about Blackburn Kalac. They were the first sugar daddy club of the EPL era. Plus, they only won the friggin league because Cantona got banned

They also wouldn't have done it without him.
Nobody is yet to even come close, Cole is 73 goals away. Henry almost 100. How people can dismiss him is crazy.

Complete forward, yes. But this isn't about the most talented players otherwise Veron would be on that list, but he isn't.

Cantona was a very good striker.... Not Shearer, Henry, Bergkamp good, but just below that tier - however, his influence on man utd was immeasurable.... it's hard to describe, but he managed to be the last piece of a jigsaw, yet, in doing so flipped over all the other pieces to make an even better picture

Maybe... but ljundbergs best consistent form was after 2002.

Anyway, if it's pre-2002, I'm not sure he deserves best foreign 11. Heck I'm not sure he deserves it period. Not a bad player though.

Henry's best years were def post 2002

Truthfully I don't remember much Shmeichel. Couldn't put him in... same goes for Cantona.

yes, but shearer played for 5-6 more seasons.

and you're talking like henry achieved fuck all when you bring up veron, henry was the most explosive player in the history of the PL, he would score/create out of nothing.

shearer was a great player, but it's like saying raul is better than ronaldo.
