Cause they were commercially successful? I remember someone asked Wes Borland why do you always wear a mask and he had answered. "Cause I'm ashamed of the band I'm playing in!" Don't know if it's a urban legend but makes a point.

Well just for you, (i dont know if you were being sarcastic or not) here are my 5 top Oasis tracks which anyone must listen to.

1) stand by me - this is an acoustic version

2)wonderwall - one of the biggest songs ever

3)Whats the story morning glory

4)Importance of Being Idle - from their last album

and 5) Slide Away Live - the version on the album is much better but no vid as never released as single

I've been listening a lot of Brits lately. Muse & Placebo are already mentioned. Second to them Libertines and Kasabian are rocking my playlist. The Libertines - The man who would be king played like a 100 times consecutively. At the moment it's peaking my top25 played with 142 appearances and counting. Clash and Ramones are also back from the dusty shelf.

Tried to dig in Timbalands new album too but Libertines and all other Brits are all over me. Apologize ~Feat. One Republic~ by Timbaland and Timbaland Feat. She Wants - Revenge Time occasionally still get playtime as they somehow fit in.

Muse gave a concert in Mexico City on April 12th :cry:

I couldn't get tickets, but I was told it was a classic, hopefully next time
Kasabian are cool, they an interesting style... Butcher Blues, Procession Beats and Cut Off are my faves... I only know their first album, have they released another album?

now that we're talking about Brits... have you heard:
The Zutons? (Pressure Point and You Will, You Won't are great songs)
Arctic Monkeys? (When The Sun Goes Down is stuck in my head)
The Kooks? (are also pretty catchy, nice tunes)
Razorlight? (have got some really good songs like Golden Touch, Somewhere Else, Up All Night and Fall Fall Fall)
Snow Patrol? (Run and How To Be Dead are really good)

Well both Muse and Kasabian have won the best Live act award somewhere. I didn't get the ticks to see Muse at Riga(400km from me or something) too. Maybe if I win a lottery or something I'll bet on the touts. Kasabian have another album as well. Empire. The lead single really kicks. Other than that I'd advise to give a look at Doberman. Oh well, get the whole album.

About the ones you've mentioned Arctic Monkeys playd a lot in my playlist as well when "Whatever people say I'm not" came out. I'm not that familiar with the others but I'll give it a look when I feel like it

And thank you DennisBergkamp for reminding me of the Preachers. Will add them momentarilly to my playlist.

Kasabian have second album called Empire
It is really good, much better than first

As Brits go, Oasis are miles better than the rest. I still believe they are up there with U2 in being the best in the world. They are not the biggest any more though, which is a shame. They are a proper rock band with great rock tunes and a great back catalogue. The Manics are my 2nd fave as they are similar as they are a class act. I have seen both live and they were unbelievable

I know oasis went to mexico, they finished their last world tour there. Are oasis big at all in Estonia jasper???

Of the new boys, Kasabian i like very much and Arctic Monkeys not to bad either
The problem with Snow PAtrol and Coldplay is that they are a bit bland, not very rocky or interesting.

They're pretty much history here. Most people would probably think they split up. I still listen to their classics from time to time and biggest hits get some airplay at radiostations too but the new coming hasn't been that influential.

I like them a lot, but I don't think they're the best ever... but everyone 's entitled to have their own opinion
