Bunga Bunga

Silvio Berlusconi was a charismatic multi-millionaire real-estate mogul who upended the Italian political order and hypnotized an entire nation. He was one of the longest-serving prime ministers of one of the world?s wealthiest countries, until he was brought down by three powerful women - and two words: ?Bunga Bunga.? From Wondery, the makers of Dirty John and The Shrink Next Door, and hosted by comedian Whitney Cummings, ?Bunga Bunga? is an eight part series on the incredible true story of the rise and fall of Silvio Berlusconi, told with Whitney?s signature wit and style.

They've signed KP Boateng for Monza and are building a really strong Serie B team. We're likely to see them back in Serie A by next year, if not the following.

Former Milan CEO and current Monza director Adriano Galliani ‘thought he was going to die’ after going into intensive care with COVID.

Galliani has just been released from hospital, but reveals the extent of his condition had not been fully understood.

“I was in intensive care from March 7 to 17, the longest 10 days of my life,” he told the Corriere della Sera newspaper.

“It was a nightmare. There were no windows in intensive care, I just had a wall in front of me. I will say frankly that I thought I was going to die.

“It certainly didn’t help that I suffer from claustrophobia, as even being in an elevator gives me anxiety, so imagine not seeing daylight for 10 days.

“Having said that, the medics and nurses at the San Raffaele hospital were marvellous and their humanity extraordinary.

“I tested negative on March 17 and was moved to a different ward. I must confess, I’ve travelled all around the world for football and my work, I’ve been fortunate enough to stay in the best hotels, but when I got to that ward, I thought to myself: ‘There’s no Four Seasons room that can match it. This is the best place in the world.’ I was so relieved.

“This experience changed the way I view things, because truly health is the only thing that matters in life.

“It will take about a month for me to fully recover. I lost 10kg because I couldn’t even eat a meatball during those 10 awful days.”

Galliani is again working with Silvio Berlusconi, who was in charge of Milan for over 30 years and now owns Serie B side Monza.

Berlusconi also spent time in hospital with COVID complications several months ago.

“Berlusconi is my family. He wrote to me constantly, he was really worried. I saw his calls even when I was too tired to answer the phone,” continued Galliani.

“We’ve been working together since I was invited to his home for a meeting in November 1979.”

Big play-off game tonight for Monza and B&G.

Hoping for them to pull through and bless Serie A with their presence one more time

In the summer of 1999, Berlusconi invited Shevchenko to live in one of his villas in Sardinia. There, the Ukrainian met the gardener's wife, who told how Silvio helped her. The woman was diagnosed with a tumor, Berlusconi referred her to the best specialists and paid for all the treatment.

Soon, Andrey's father needed help. On August 17, 2001, he received a heart transplant. Mykola Shevchenko has already flown to Milan for an operation, and at Berlusconi's request, he was observed by leading doctors. But the operation did not give the expected results. There was only one way out-transfer.

The search for a donor began, but my father was not told anything. When Andrey and his future wife Kristen were on vacation in the United States, his father's condition deteriorated sharply. Shevchenko immediately flew to Ukraine, and the first words of the doctors shocked: "He will not cope. He has two days left."

Ukrainian doctors made a mistake. Nikolai was urgently transported to Italy. Berlusconi personally kept the situation under control, and Mario Vigano, one of the best heart surgeons in the country, performed the transplant. There were no complications. When the danger was over, Shevchenko asked Vigano to allow him to attend a similar operation.

"Vigano and his colleagues are magicians," writes Andrey. - If I made a mistake on the pitch, people would whistle. If the doctors were wrong, people died." Mykola Shevchenko lived with a donor heart for 15 years. He died in March 2016.
