You sure you are not confusing him with Kagawa?

Honda is a utility player capable of playing anywhere in the midfield and the attack and he is far from a deep lying playmaker as one can get...

Your entire description fits Kagawa better, so are you sure you are not confusing the two?
Stop it. we arent supposed to agree with one another.
Lucky I got my post in first.. I dont feel as dirty now LOL

Nasri has done pretty well in the EPL despite being played out of position for most of his time there.

Honda is the exact same weight as Montolivo, who you've advocated for (and 10kilos more than Robinho as a measure)... and both would be played at LCM (at least that's what I was implying)

Honda seems pretty strong to me. And has the heart of lion.
You're looking only at weight...you need to look at size and build. Yes, Robinho is lighter because he is 1.72 M. If he was the same weight, he'd be Ronldhino

Honda:

Height: 1.82m
Weight: 74 kg

Nasri:

Height: 5' 10'' (1.78m)
Weight: 75 kg

Now frames:

It is all about shoulder size and frame size and how the weight is carried.

2" taller and 2 pounds less... really not that big of a deal. Their frame is nearly identical.

I don't see how this would make him "ineffective" in the EPL or Serie A.

I'll put it this way... Honda is the exact same weight and 0.5inches taller than Montolivo. And in my opinion, a much better, more complete and physical player.

I have seen Honda about 6 times, mostly on the international stage, which is why I only called it an average sample size. I only have those judgments to go off of.

This entire discussion has taken a very homosexual turn...I'm okay with it.

+1

But allas, our mercato's are never that easy

All this Honda chat is making me depressed, I hear he's off to Blackburn is it, FFS, mid table EPL insignificance, please tell me its not true!!!

Monty and Honda wouldn't be a bad combo actually, certainly covers a load of area's, then next Summer we actually follow though and buy 2 WC players and challenge for the CL, and a new cycle starts with Milan dominant

The only I've seen of Montolivo is on the WC. He was pretty static, even more than Ganso was in the Copa America. Also, he tended to make long passes too many times. If Aquilani and Montolivo are the same price, I would prefer Aquilani.

Uncle Rico

A middle aged man stuck in the 80s, he is said to have the greatest football skills of all time, but was held back by his coach.

A person with a very large penis. Some say it was a snake, but after scientific research it was proven to be a very large penis.

if we're spending 8 mil on Monto, why not spend it on Poli? or Constant (who is a much better player with MUCH bigger room to improve)?

Montolivo> Constant & Poli (right now)

We need players for NOW. We have Calvano, Fossati, Merkel, and Strasser for the future midfield. We need a player who can fill in now, and give us an instant step-up.
