Easy there , out of those 7 matches only 3 were real contests and they ended up with 1 win and 2 losses.

Bonera debuted for Villarreal in their 2:1 loss vs Rapid Wien.
He caused both the free kick and the penalty from which they conceded.

It was a decent round that could have been very good had Lazio held on. But a 1-1 draw in Ukraine against last year's Finalists is a very good result.

Fiorentina-Basel, you could say Basel just about deserved it. The rest of the games, Serie A teams were very good, including Juve, Roma, Napoli and Lazio.

Dont forget to give a special shoutout to the achievements of Nazio.

They drew against the third place team of a country in civil war that has just had their league reduced and seen mass exodus of players.:fp:

Bravi ragazzi. :proud:

Dnipro are still a very good team. Playing away from home, I would say a draw for Lazio is a decent result.

As my fellow patriots have said repeatedly, Italy got by far the worst matchups this week and still managed to lose only one of them

Ze Bundesfloppers lost both of their direct matches against teams from a competitive league (Bilbao and Sevilla)

Bayern only won thanks to Muller's lucky goal

Wolfsburg did well.

Leverkusen , Schalke and Dortmund ( last minute goal ) had easy matches.

Gladbach and Augsburg got smacked.

Dnipro are still a very good team.

Dnipro lost their two best players to Sevilla (Kanoplyanka) and Fiorentina (Kalinic).

Biglia alone is probably worth half of Dnipro's value and this isn't even an exaggeration.

Wouldn't mind Serie A's 3rd UCL spot going to Ukraine.

Dnipro continuing right where they left off last year - outsmarting Serie A's UCL rejects.:proud:

Lazio should have been more clinical with their chances.

I think what sucks is that Lazio were up 1-0 until the last kick of the game. Had they been down 1-0 and equalized it would have felt like a great result--but it is still a decent one.

Italy crushed the Bundesliga last year in the rankings, and was only .6 off the year before that. Let's see as the season wears on.

"crushed" bundesliga in the rankings because all 4 bundesliga teams (only league in Europe) made it to round of 16 in UCL unlike 2/3 of Serie A's UCL teams that ended up in Europa league.

The fair division for Serie A based on quality in Europe would be : 1 UCL spot and 6 Europa league spots
