Was quite good yesterday and for a couple of games now. I'm for keeping him and selling Conti, if possible.

between conti and calabria, i think whoever has shorter contract should be sold. both have good games coupled with average ones. calabria looks much more confident going forward while conti seemed to be focused more on defense. conti's best asset, his pace is gone. so i don't have much hope for his future.

tbh there were worse players at his age that went on to become good or even great players, especially defenders.
He has potential but obviously he is not strong mentally and can only perform in a trusting environment. In that regard I think Pioli is exactly the right coach for him at this point in his carreer and I don't think we should write him off yet.

Talk about his consistency is valid but to me it seems as if his curve is perfectly normal. Almost every youngster is inconsistent up until a certain age. Surely he wont play like this every week but it shows what he can do and more importantly I feel like Calabria's good spells are getting longer and better and he's still rather young. The good thing about him is that he seems mentally strong and having a real personality, not a pussy / mute like De Sciglio

I've always had a problem trusting Calabria. Dude has always had massive consistency issues.
I've been tricked into believing he's a good player only for him to have an absolute shit performance a few games later.
This is the first time he's put together a stretch of form for a decent duration which includes a big opponent as well.
I'd be the happiest person in the world if a Primavera talent becomes our long term rb.
