I watched BeIN Sports post match analysis today and there were some brilliant insights put for Spurs fans by Liam Brady,Andy Gray and Tim Sherwood.
- Talked about power shift and they had a laugh. The panel said that Pochettino doesn't want to win League/FA Cup, but then are they good enough to win PL/UCL? Mourinho's 1st trophy in England was a League Cup, SAF won League/FA Cup in his initial time. Only then they went on to win "major" trophies.
- Another good point was that in modern football, good players would only stay at a club if you either give them trophies or the money. Spurs are giving neither ! How long can they hold on to Dele, Dier, Kane, Eriksen etc.? Walker moved already and would probably win the PL.
- One interesting point made-- Spurs are "overachieving" with their wages they pay to their star players. Overachieving with 2 top 4s in recent years and no trophy. How long will Spurs fan be happy with that?
- Andy Gray: "This is the 17th time Pochettino has played a top 6 side, he's only won 1 game." Next Wenger/SAF they said?
