I'm thinking in the same lines. Maybe add in a central midfielder to give Pirlo a break at times. Zambrotta would be excellent since he can play either RB or LB (Janku's the defender that's played the most minutes this season). Either a striker (Cassano) or an attacking midfielder with Kaka' featuring regularly as a support striker.

Call me crazy but I'd like to see these signings:

Buffon - Who wouldn't want him in their team!!
Terry(or Alex) - He could strengthen the defense and wouldn't that annoy Chelsea..
Sheva - The lost son returning to play in rotation with Ronaldo and Gila.
Ronaldinho - He he he

Seriously though I'd say these signings would be a good start for the new season. I honestly don't think we actually need someone right now considering the squad we have right now but in defence we do need to sign someone of world class soon and some time later another one in the offensive.
We have young superstars in the making by the name of Gourcuff and Gila, as I don't consider them that right now but know they have the capacity to become much more than they are now.
A young talent in defence to grow in Milan is all that remains.

But I think it important that if we do sign players, we sign world class players, and not support players. We aim for the CL final each year and cannot be satisfied with half measures.

My dream signings for Summer 2007:

Barzagli - Young talented Italian defender - huge need at CB due to Maldini's uncertainty. Alternate: Alex - Big imposing defender. Again young (youth is important for this position. I personally think Maldini will return next year, but in a limited role. His body is breaking down and there's a strong chance he'll be injured again for significant time next year. Getting a young skillful defender will be beneficial because they can be coached everyday by the greatest defender of all time in Maldini.)

Zambrotta - Love Janku, but I'd prefer Zambrotta as an every game starter with Janku strictly serving as backup for both Zambr and Oddo. Alternate: Lucio although I'm basing this desire strictly on buzz. I've never seen him play so it's probably foolish of me to want him. But he sounds quite promising.

RONALDINHO - I know so many people are against this signing, but I'm of the opinion that he would be a HUGE get. Ronaldo up front with Ronaldinho and Kaka feeding him. A 100% Brazilian attack with a predominantly Italian Midfield and Defense. I say it in many posts but Brazil and Italy have the best players in the world and Milan is where they play TOGETHER.

I'd take Buffon, but don't think he's really necessary. If he's not available, I don't see the need to add any GKs.

My dream lineup therefore would be:

My favorite part of this lineup is the 100% Azzuri defense, the current formidable midfield (that doesn't need much tweaking) and that EXPLOSIVE offense. Book these players and you can reserve your tickets for next year's CL final as well.
