I suppose scoring 42 goals and leading ur mediocre team to a treble isn't anything magical

He didn't lead, MU players are really powerful squad; without the team surrounding him he would never get the result. ;)

REALLY?! They have a top class defense... but lets be honest... scholes/giggs r good but 34/35. Carrick is an above average player. Fletcher? Rooney was good but far from consistant. Tevez is the MOST overrated player in the world. He really did not have as great a squad as chelsea, barcelona and others.

There whole attack was based off CR

You right, but at least they played as team and support him from center MF and Wings and Dimitar Berbatov etc... Above all of them ALEX FERGUSON who know how let people shine in his team.

One look at the type of goals Ronaldo scored will tell you that saying Ronaldo was the entire attack is rediculous.

Rooney was MASSIVE for Ronaldo. Even Tevez was very important, as his work ethic allowed Ronaldo to be 'lazy'.

That's why we played Park a lot.

Man U were far from a mediocre squad with Ronaldo that treble year. He had a great supporting cast that allowed him to do what he did. Both Rooney and Tevez hit double digits goals and assist; I believe as well or something close to that.

I Was Not 100 Per Cent Fit For Portugal Game- Cristiano Ronaldo

He says he will try to shorten his recovery time...

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo says he will try to shorten his expected recovery time with the help of club physiotherapists but admitted that he was not 100 per cent going into Portugal's weekend victory over Hungary.

Ronaldo had to be replaced midway through the first half of the 3-0 win over the Hungarians in their crucial World Cup qualifier after he suffered a relapse of the injury which ruled him out of Madrid's defeat to Sevilla the previous weekend.

He now faces approximately a month on the sidelines but said he was keen to help his country secure progression to the World Cup finals.

"I felt good but was not one hundred per cent, I had a little trouble but I wanted myself to help my country to go to the World Cup," he told AS.

Ronaldo dismissed the notion that he may have to have surgery on the ankle, which is the same on he had operated on last year.

"The injury is different from the one that needed an operation. It has nothing to do with it. I'm calm because I know that with the desire I have to bounce back and with the good work of physiotherapists at Madrid everything will go well," added the winger.

"I will work very hard to shave some time off, but the important thing now is to recover well and never to have these problems."

He added that after doing recovery work at the Madrid training ground at Valdebebas he intends to return to Portugal to meet up with his international team-mates and celebrate their progression to the play-offs with the fans, assuming they beat Malta on Wednesday.

"I'll leave the club to go to Guimaraes. I promised Carlos Queiroz I would be there to celebrate with my teammates and all the fans," he concluded.

Injuries will get the best out of him too in the future, I'm sure of that. Explosive and muscular players suffer a lot as they get to 30. Hell its not only in football, look at Rafa Nadal, doctors say he has the knees of a 40 year old.

*waiting for the inevitable 'get both your legs broken and die ***' comment*

Interesting story:Cristiano Ronaldo Cursing His Luck After Witch's Spell - Report

Cristiano Ronaldo may put fans under his spell with his magic and trickery on the ball, but he is now the subject of a curse that a witch claims is going to ruin his career.

The Portuguese star has been ruled out for four weeks with an ankle injury, and though many felt it was down to a hefty tackle, there may be more to it than that.

Pepe the witch, a self-described occult practitionerbased near Malaga and not the Real Madrid defender, has been talking regularly to the media about the spell that he was paid around €30,000 to cast on Ronaldo by a former lover of the Real Madrid star.

Describing the woman as a "jilted lover", "non-European" and "a very wealthy heiress form a well-known family", Pepe has told AS that he is the reason behind several of the player's recent problems.

A car crash earlier this year and a groin injury suffered after the end of last season were just forerunners for what the player is now experiencing.

One thing that is perplexing people in Spain and Portugal is that Pepe stated that he would injure the player before he suffered his ankle problem against Olympique de Marseille in the Champions League.

That issue was then aggravated during Portugal's World Cup qualifier against Malta, and now Ronaldo's mother is reported to have hired another witch to counteract the curse on her son.

Pepe has made headlines again by stating that he now aims to end Ronaldo's career, but that he has refused to do the same to Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

"He will spend more time injured than playing. There will be many small injuries or one that keeps him out for five months. The aim is to keep him from playing football," he was quoted by The Daily Mail sas saying.

"It is voodoo. First I need a recent photo. Then I use a doll with nails piercing the ankles, spine and head.

"Other people have called me to do the same to Messi, but I refuse. One woman asked me to go against Beckham and (Brazilian) Ronaldo, (Esteban) Cambiasso, (Fabio) Cannavaro..."

If Ronaldo is superstitious then this could be a dent to his confidence as he looks to return from the injury, which will see him miss another three weeks of action.

Found this on youtube. You have to admire the guys dedication and desire. Training is usually taken lightly, but this guy's ambition makes him apply himself like his life depends on it.

Its been confirmed he won't play at the San Siro, good for Milan.

I know many people will laugh off this story as bs and rightly so. Just wanted to say that witchcraft is real maybe not as crazy as the movies portray but very powerful.

Real Madrid Star Cristiano Ronaldo Cannot Begin Training Yet

The Portuguese ace has not recovered in time for this weekend's derby against Atletico Madrid as his medical condition has not improved...

Reports on Wednesday suggested that Cristiano Ronaldo was in with a chance of playing for los Blancos in Saturday's Madrid derby.

However, Real Madrid have announced that Ronaldo is no closer to a return to first team action and must continue treatment until further scans show that his ankle has fully healed.

A statement on the club's official website read:

"After examining the evolution of Cristiano Ronaldo's injury today, it was determined that there has been no clinical improvement of the bone edema in the center of his right ankle.

"The player cannot, therefore, begin training and must continue treatment and relief work until another examination is carried out."

Ronaldo's recuperation from a sprained ankle has been complicated by the continuing presence of a bone edema on the talus bone in his right foot. He will now travel to Amsterdam in order to continue his recovery programme with ankle specialist Dr. Niek van Dijk.

I feel bad for him. Its sad that the fastest and most skillful attackers are usually those that struggle most with injuries, because of the pushing of their body and the treatment they get from opposition defenders.
