Just watched PSG highlights... I want Neymar at Milan!

Not bc of his goal... his general play rather.

Verratti's style is eerily similar to Bennacer's. Even with the yellow cards.

Verratti has sadly not progressed as a player.

He is still great. Just needs to play in a team that actually plays with midfielders.

The best CF since Piatek.

Vardy*

I judge all cfs based on their distance from vardy.

If everything goes well and he improves all his attributes he can become a prime Jamie Vardy, who is a pretty decent player with acceptable attributes in all aspects of the striking game. Maybe a better header...we will see.

Football non-entity.

I was very disappointed to see he will miss the second leg. He's a prime candidate for stupid reds on big occasions.

Couldn't watch the games... seems like Simeone totally closed Liverpool's game, huh? 0 shots on target, wow

If there's someone who can stop Liver, it's Simeone for sure

Implodes at ainfield like he imploded in Turin.

If Bennacer reaches Verratti's level, I'll be thrilled to bits. I do agree that their offensive style is quite similar. Defensively, Bennacer has a long way to go.

Yeah I remember that.

He ended up being a Roberto Soldado without a decent hold-up play.

None of them are particularly strong defensively. They're liabilities even, if you put the main defensive responsibility on their shoulders in the midfield. Verratti is usually more protected than Bennacer.

Their offensive style is similar, but Bennacer's delivery is Hakan-esque(actually even worse) compared to Verratti's.

^Verratti has been superb in the Mancini midfield alongside Jorginho and Barella for Italy. Over the last year or year and a half, his defensive game has become much more solid.

Bennacer of course doesn't have Verratti's vision, but I think that's still ok. His main improvement needs to come in the defensive phase.

Atalanta with some brilliant goals, fair play to them.

Caldara played 75 minutes of Champions League football?

Gasperini is a sorcerer.

5 years ago they were still in second division I think. It could be a motivation for Milan. It can go faster than we think, if only managed right

It took them 8 years from 4th division.
The management has something to do with it, also the surrounding, the atmosphere and the fans. Most importantly, don’t forget the big cash injections.
It seems to me that this isn’t replicable to other teams.
The whole Ragnick and others, they are unique for this method like a one hit wonder.

The real Black and Blue Milan based team :proud:

Also re: Leipzig, Rangnick was a big reason as to why they are where they are now. Maybe why we are interested but at the same time it's entirely different raising a club through the ranks with less pressure than to turn around this circus of a club I'd think.

Great time to remind everyone that Atalanta have the same wage bill as 15th place Championship side Reading.

Very cautious start to the game from Napoli... Seems like they have a bit too much respect from Barca. Napoli should be able to threaten this Barca side by holding on to the ball a bit more
