Ciao Stam.

Ajax announce Stam deal:

http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/jan30i.html

After all the denial, he is gone.

Right, all our defender problems are solved now. I guess Torres can come and we can play 3-4-3... since we will only have 3 good defenders...
In fact, Stam is a good defender for Milan. In my opinion, his perform in this season is better than Nesta. His speed is fast in the defender.
So he will join Ajax ?? Did he play in PSV before he come to Man U ??

Stam is a good defender but not a good leader.
When he played in Lazio, he had a powerful shoot about freekick when Lazio 3:2 Parma, does anyone know that goal ???
This season when Milan 2:3 Inter, his head is also very nice. I am very strange he looks very strong, but he can jump so high ! Uncredible !!!!!

I think... i believe... i guess..... Ancelotti doesn't know how to play with three defenders..... i mean....... where is the SUPER PLAN he had at the start of the season ??? the 3 5 2 ??? ........... eh..... jajajaja he is not that good.... i do believe Berlusconi should allow him to play as the rat he is with his famous Christmas Tree (4321)

Yes, his freekick is damn powerful! but i'm sorry he never scored with one of those powerful shots from a freekick for Milan.

This news is fine, but i wonder where our re-inforcements will come from.

Lugano won't be possible right? (since his season will have already started by then)
Sceptic about Barzagli, Oddo, and Chivu.

Let's wait and see, what B & G have up their sleeve, come summer. (Christ, they'r starting to sound like a major fashion agaency orsomethin' right? ;) B & G - Big Deal:D )

I realy don't know... but you'll see... in holland is not that hard to score.....
for example...

Marco Van Basten's (World Class) career at Holland..
season-team-matches-goals-finished
1981-82 Ajax 1 1 1st
1982-83 Ajax 20 9 1st
1983-84 Ajax 26 28 3rd
1984-85 Ajax 33 22 1st
1985-86 Ajax 26 37 2nd
1986-87 Ajax 27 31 2nd

then...

1987-88 Milan 1 11 3 1st
1988-89 Milan A 33 19 3rd
1989-90 Milan A 26 19 2nd
1990-91 Milan A 31 11 3rd
1991-92 Milan A 31 25 1st
1992-93 Milan A 15 13 1st

Mateja Kezman (Over rated player) career at Holland....
season-team-matches-goals
2000/01 PSV 33 24
2001/02 PSV 27 15
2002/03 PSV 33 35
2003/04 PSV 29 31

then...

2004/05 Chelsea 25 4 Premiership :head:
2005/06 Atlético Madrid 16 4 Spanje :conf:

:conf: :conf: :conf: :conf:

hahahahaha... well conclusion... Kezman was a promise... at least....

I'm really going to miss Stam. :(

I think he has been our best player, along with Nesta, the past 2-3 months. I think the worst part will be losing his versatility as he can play both CB and RB very well.

His cross to Sheva today was awesome! Out of mid-air he placed the ball exactly where Sheva could head it in for a goal.

I hope Milan have a plan to replace him because it is going to be tough.

You got to respect this man. He could completly choose not to give a shit and just sit on the bench earning his salary for the rest of the year. Which is what he should do considering the constant bashing he has received from ungreatful fans. Instead he goes out night after night putting on a great show and being a trully great Milan player. To bad we diden't grab a hold of him when Man U dumped him, I'm sure he could have printed his name on the history books, a true warrior.

Yes, Stam is a great defender. I think his best position is CB not RB. So at first when he plays a RB, is not as great as he play the CB and a lot of people laugh at him or think he is useless, overrated and should leave Milan. But Stam didn't give up, he played 100% and work very hard. His perform in last month is very perfect, he had been proved he is a great defender and should receive more respect.

But what a pitty he will leave us, i think the best gift to give him before he leave Milan is a CL champion Cup. Come on !!! Stam and Milan, get the CL champion Cup and try to get Serie A.

I hope Stam will score a freekick befor he leave Milan.

I disagree, Stam is superior as a RB. Stam's ball possession skills and running are underrated and his crosses are superb. Whenever Stam is playing RB you notice him because he dominates his flank during the whole game including defensively. Another good thing about Stam is that he makes the most out of all his touches as he doesn't lose the ball very often and if he does he makes the opposing player battle tooth and nail for the ball.

Yes, he played very well yesterday. He plays well as RB, too.

As i already told, he played well yesterday, but he looks a bit funny there in RB,isn't he? 1,91 m tall man who runs along out...

Anyway he is in good form now and we'll need him against Juve .

he is great if we are playing defensively because he is so solid but if we are on the offensive he cannot cross as good as cafu

Looks like Stam won't play any more games for Milan:

channel4 said:
Jaap Stam has played his last game for Milan after the Dutchman underwent shoulder surgery on Tuesday.

The giant stopper picked up the problem on Sunday as he fell awkwardly in the 2-0 win over Livorno.

Rossoneri medics were hoping to avoid an operation, but tests picked up ligament damage which required the player to go under the knife.

“The procedure carried out at Varese by professor Cherubino was a success,” read a note on the club’s website.

Stam won’t wear the Rossoneri jersey again as the former Manchester United and Lazio man will leave Milan in the summer.

Stam signed a two-year contract with Ajax in January after telling the club that he was keen on a return to his homeland for family reasons.[font=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]
