That tackle was a statement to Poli to show more aggression. As soon as Poli goes flaccid for the dribble, Paletta hones in like a missile and goes for the kill. Crazy tackle but I can kind of imagine the shit going in Paletta's head. He was like "fuck you Poli this is how you deal with this"

I can understand CB risk sometimes with tackles but situation didnt require it.
With his age he should be smarter, with red card - even when we were still playing ok - our chances for good result decreased. Also he may get suspend for more games after direct red...

That was just dumb, experienced defender like him shouldnt afford that. I can understand if romagnoli, locatelli, donnarumma do that, but experienced defender like paletta really shouldnt be so naive and dumb.

Poli is 50% at fault for allowing the player to run directly into the open space behind. All Poli had to do was close the player down and run the ball out of touch(he stood static watching)

If Paletta had timed the challenge better he would have landed in front of the ball and it would be lauded as a great tackle, he misjudged the distance and it cost us the game.
