Morata performed very well for Juve forcing RM to activate his buyback clause. He then had a great season in Madrid (outscoring Benzema) earning a big money move to Chelsea. In the EPL, he averages a goal every 188 mins (roughly every other game) and a goal/assist every 136 mins (every game and a half) which is decent.

morata form in front of goal with chelsea has been abysmal like down right division 3 level.

But the thing with him is a lot of those chances he makes himself with his athleticism, skill and smart play. If he wasn't trash in front of goal he would be in contention for best striker in the world behind only a few.

Do you gamble on Piatek who cannot play with cutrone and might flop, or do you buy morata who you know you will get decent/good production and could plug him in multiple ways.

Chances are we would get more out of morata even tho i think we should go a cheaper option for striker all together and put the money in other positions.

Wouldnt mind Morata either, only in one case: if we're ditching 4-3-3 forever. He's not a lone striker and will never be. SS with Cutro? Sure. But that would mean 4-3-1-2 and we're stuck with Suso dilemma again. And no 4-4-2 pls.

What fucking merchandising/marketing/sponsorship?
He would cost at least 50 million and would demand a salary of at least 6 million net (12 million gross).
He would cost at least 110 million total for a 5 year contract.
What fucking merchendsing is gonna recoup even one 10th of that when he struggles to score even 10 goals per season? His good looks? We're a football club, not a fucking modeling agency.
