So next time no Robi & no Noce.

A fit midfield of Ambro-MVB-Seedorf-KPB can really upset Barca.
And plz , give a chance for Lopez.
This guy is a good finisher & he can harass their shaky defense & then Ibra & KPB will have more space.
Barca wont close their pitch & they arent pressuring like they used to so we can fuck them there.

I'll put Aqua for Noce. Maxi to be supersub. Tonight, I actually thought Maxi was a better choice than SE92 as a substitute.

we will most likely have to play the exact same way we did today, only this time it'll be twice as hard to hold up barca from scoring in their own arena.
i dunno if nesta will be back if not, then abate to take boneras place and bonera nestas..
i'd also change noce for aqua, we need some more creativity this time around.

Fielding a midfield of Seedorf, Ambrosini and Bommel is suicidal under normal circumstances against any top team. Incidently Barca is the only team I will ever do that. Barca will throw at us everything. The midfielders are not fast but are world class with superior passing skills.

Our senetores with experience and patience along with today's effort can somehow keep up without getting frustrated.

And in attack and midfield atleast we have options to chose from

Very worried about defense with both 2 of our most important players out. We need one of Nesta/Silva.

In defense my lineup preferred will be in the order

Antonini Mexes Nesta Bonera
Antonini Mexes Bonera Abate (if Nesta out)
Urby Mexes Bonera Antonini (if Nesta and Abate out)

There's no fucking way I want Mesbah to play this game.

Im actually pretty Nesta sure won't make it, given our luck with injuries this season. He wouldn't have gone out unless he wasn't able to continue. He has been rested for so many games just to be ready for this one.

If we want to think about this match, we first have to think who will we field versus Catania, so we can play who to rest for Barca.

I thought Seedorf was immense, and should not play any minutes versus Catania because we will need him for Barca. If MvB is back, he should play one half and Ambrosini the other. We need MvB to get some minutes after being out for two weeks, and we can't have Ambro play his third 90minute game in 7 days. Muntari is suspended versus Catania, so we will have Urby, Aquilani and Nocerino (probably Merkel too) to pick from. If Merkel's back I'd like him to play a little, he could be useful versus Barca.

Hope Prince, Robinho and Nesta are ok. We have had the worst of luck this season, worse than any other team in Europe.... all I'm asking for is for it not to get any worse.

Galliani: "Abate will surely be back and maybe another player".. "We will see if Pato can get healed in the US and make it back for Barca".

We need to not concede. Even if we keep them out till 75th minute and they score, we'll have 15 mins for the weird winner goal.

This game we'll have Abate, MvB and no Mesbah for Barca.

We'll hopefully have a fit Binho and Prince, and Barca have to play more open. we can score up to 2, so even conceding twice can result in us going through.

Our players just shouldn't let Camp Nou frighten them. It didn't in group stage at all, so remain positive.

If Ambro is fit I would choose him over Aquilani. Same applies to Seedorf-Noce.
Binho and Urby could be great subs to speed things a bit if we need counter attacks.
Please don't talk about a christmas tree or different formations, this is not the time for experiments... we just need to focus

Agreed about almost everything. I would played Urby instead of some MVB-Seedorf-Ambro. Only because of the age. To have some young, and fast really means much.

Is Maxi okay for the next game?

I'm afraid that Allegri opens the team too much in the beginning to score fast and then park the bus.

We created good chances in the first leg, there's no reason to open the team more than that.

I'd take Nocerino off and use Van Bommel on his place. The rest of the team must be the same.

I dont know if we can do it again. We risked it today and it paid off with a great Seedorf and Ambrosini, can they do it again?

I would much rather an Aquilani/Merkel player though.
