I don't know if anybody else has ever noticed this but I for one sure have.
Everytime a Milan player is laying down on the field and the medics rush in, there's always a bald guy who is first in. He's always there!
Noticing him´, I mentioned this to my friends and now "Baldy" (as we call him) has become a local celebrity. The only problem is, no one knows who he is.
Now, what I want to know is: who is this guy!?
I want his name, age, address, shoesize.. the whole enchilada.

I've seen him a plenty but never clearly his face...
Anyway, it could be...

Rodolfo Tavana
f20a5719f0fa0ffa.jpg

Specialises in sports medicine [duh!], orthopedics and trauma. He has been with Milan since the 2000-2001 season.
He was born on a certain day in, let's say, 1952 somewhere in Italy.
He's taller than you, shoe size a bit bigger, has a healthy sex life and enjoys Ibrahim Ba's cooking - especially after a round of golf.
He used to have an earring on his left ear but people thought he was Mr. Clean so he took it off.

This thread makes me pay more attention when there is Milan player's injury. I finally saw him last night in the game vs Ajax. Was he the one wear formal suit in black? Why did he wear formal suit while the other medics wear sports suit?

when i play championship manager 4 (you guys know it don't you?), and i play as milan's manager, the last news i want to read is the one with header Rodolvo Tavana's post match physio report. Cuz he always brings bad news for the manager. sometimes i hate him for that.

but if i saw his face, he's quite funny guy i think.....

Some information about Tavana from our official site, acmilan.com:

TAVANA: 'Marco Van Basten, the most painful failure'
06/14/2003 13:02

MILAN - His career was not all a bed of roses, though. Doctor Tavana experienced also disappointments, as with Marco Van Basten whose career ended too early: 'If Milan Lab would have been useful? I don't think so because it helps to prevent injuries but cannot work miracles. The problem with his ankle was too serious, we consulted the best doctors of the world, we did everything possible but he had no chances. I think that he might have avoided the first surgery by Dutchman Marti in 1987 which could have created some problems. The case of Van Basten was the most painful failure of my career, he was a great player but was also tackled too much. Also the Uefa committee intervened to protect him, but the tackles he received worstened his problems on his joints'.

TAVANA: 'The greatest joys? The recovery of Redondo, Gullit and Lentini'
06/14/2003 12:50

MILAN - Rodolfo Tavana opened the book of his memories and revealed his greatest satisfaction within his 16-year stay at Milan: 'As a doctor I had three main joys. The recovery of Redondo, Gullit and Lentini after his car accident. In the season 1989-90 rumour was that Ruud Gullit would have never returned to action. He suffered from a serious knee injury and it was something new at that time. He seemed to be bound to retire but the Milan staff and I did not give up and through a hard work were able to return into action.' Ruud Gullit contacted Milan Channel during the programme and thanked once again live the doctor for his help and work at Milan.
Then the memory of the car accident which involved Gianluigi Lentini: 'We were just arrived from Genoa where Milan had played a friendly. It was 4 am and I was called by police who informed me about the car accident occurred to Lentini. They told me that the player had been taken to the Turin hospital. I left immediately with Italo Galbiati, we were reallly worried. Lentini had gone into a coma but as we got to the hospital, we were reassured, as the player was out of danger and would have recovered soon. After being frightened to death, I was excited and happy.'

TAVANA: 'My choice to quit Milan was a professional one'
06/14/2003 12:39

MILAN - Club doctor Rodolfo Tavana quits Milan after 16 years of service. At the end of this season, after the celebration for the Champions League title and the Coppa Italia trophy, Tavana resigned his post. On Friday evening he came to the Milan Channel studios to star in one of their programmes. First of all Tavana gave reasons for his choice: 'There was no problems with the club, my choice was a professional one. After entranching myself for many years, I will now devote myself to athletes and common people, as I will run a sport rehabilitation centre in Milan. I will miss Milan very much, in these 16 years they have become like a second family for me and I gave them my best shot. During the party at the San Siro racecourse Adriano Galliani said that Milan are a matter of feelings. If there is a Paolo Maldini who lifts the Champions League trophy to the sky 40 years after his father did it in the same shirt, it really means that Milan are more than a football club.'

TAVANA: 'Milan played an unbelievable season'
06/14/2003 13:11

MILANO - Rodolfo Tavana commented on Milan's campaign: 'It was a hard season, the summer preparation was fundamental. Milan focused on the prevention thanks to Milan Lab, on the fitness work and the management of their energy. Carlo Ancelotti did well with rotation, although he had a wide team to work with. We had few injuries, Pirlo and Seedorf recovered early than expected. The same with Dida and Costacurta. They had been in doubt for the Champions League final until the weekend preceeding the game. Thanks to the work of our equipe and the character of the two players, they were able to contest the final and also shone. Dida came and thanked me after the match.'
