Really impressed with Napoli tonight. They proved an equal contestant to Europe’s best team so far this season and even managed to squeeze out a win in the end. Really hope they’ll win this group, but knowing Napoli they’ll probably draw against Gent or something .

This is the 3rd time Napoli beat a Klopp team at San Paolo early in the group stage in just 6 years. They failed to advanced from the group stage on the first two occasions, despite racking up 12 and 9 points.

It's the usual Napoli.
What's unusual is that they are not in a group of death this time.
Draws away to Salzburg/Genk or loss away to Liverpool should be affordable now.

Yes they’ve finally got a non death group. Good for them. They’ve been a team who should’ve been in the quarters the last two years.

Last year? Sure.
But in Sarri's last season they had no one to blame but themselves.
Got embarrassed by City home and away, and they also lost the away games to Feyenord and Schaktar. They weren't unlucky or anything. Just not good enough in CL that year.

Benitez' Napoli on the other hand had every reason to feel hard done by.
12 points. On same points as the group winner and last year's finalist.
Meanwhile Zenit had advanced to the next stage with 6 points.

They let themselves down in Sarri’s season and luck let them down in Carlo’s.. during Sarri’s CL run, the team was as good as any Napoli team in recent history but as you say they were probably too inexperienced in Europe. They also prioritized the scudetto chase which didn’t help.

Atletico lineup: Oblak - Trippier, Savić, Giménez, Renan Lodi - Thomas, Saúl, Koke, Lemar - João Félix, Diego Costa

Juventus lineup:
Szczesny - Danilo, Bonucci, De Ligt, Alex Sandro - Khedira, Pjanic, Matuidi - Bernardeschi, Ronaldo, Higuain.

Think this will end 1-1. Ronaldo and Joao Felix.

Pjanic is the dirtiest player you may come across. Too much fouls and he’s bitching all the time.

He was a joy to watch during his Metz and Lyon days, not the same guy anymore

Joao Felix is such a nice player
true, it's the first time i'm seeing the guy play after all that hype; he's really impressive
Atletico suits his style apparently

Couldn't think of a worse game to watch than that.

juve's mercato was even worse than ours for sarri. they aint gonna play sarriball with khedira, matuidi. also their pressing with ronaldo and higuain is non existent. they might be in trouble in seria a too, if they want to rely on this lineup. ronaldo will become a problem for them when they are chasing the ball.
