He may not play that much, but you can still talk about him here

He used to be my favourite goalkeeper when he was at Lazio in the early nineties. Had amazing reflexes.

That's about all I got to say about him.

Somehow I knew that there would be little activity in this thread unless Dida gets injured. He's one the team though, so I had to create it. :)

Played a hell of a lot better then Eleftheropoulos has so far in preseason games. Not hesitant or carless at all - good positioning, good saves, holds on to balls he should. IMO he should be the #2.

He seemed very agile and able in the game against Chicago Fire when the defense literally left him uncovered much of the time.

Well, if anything, he's still hanging around while "As the Abbiati Turns" finally ended with Christian's much-publicized jump from the Milan ship. I can't think of anyone else who topped Abbiati in butt splinters from sitting on the bench the past couple seasons. And from my observation, VF hasn't made a gregarious fuss about it so far. He's like the quintessential 12th man in the NBA: the veteran who hardly plays but keeps quiet about it, thus continuing to collect those paychecks.

That's gotta be worth something, I suppose.

Last game in the Serie A season about 2-3 ago,@ Piacenza.I believe this is his one and only Serie A match for Milan in like 4-5 years at the club.

Sheesh. His only start? He must have a willpower of iron to be hanging around here that long. Then again, I'm sure most would be willing to sit for Milan rather than start for Lecce or Treviso. I know I would.

Yep,he's only Serie A start, plus one Coppa Italia start the year after,so '03/04 season...I think Dida and Abbiati were injured then too.

But I'd definately rather get payed to sit around at Milan then start for Treviso or such as well.

Yes, I think this too.

He could be repleced by some young goalkeeper from Primavera.

A few times this year Ancelotti has called up Eros Favaretto from the Primavera Squad,so he is definatley thinking of at least giving Primavera members(like Marzoratti, and Di Gennaro) so big match exposure even if they're not playing.

Fiori? If he doesn't care that he's not playing he wouldn't be costing that much to pay so may as well keep him around.
