Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani insists Albanian oil tycoon Rezart Taci is not digging up a pipeline that will lead him to extracting a majority stake in the club.
Reports in the Italian press on Wednesday claimed that Taci's visit to Milan was indicative that he was ready to invest in the Rossoneri. The news came just a week after the club was linked with Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi, who was said to be in a position to make a takeover bid.
Galliani has now moved in to quash the voices claiming the club, owned and run under Silvio Berlusconi's Fininvest company, was ready to sell up to the Albanian.
"There are no shares in the club that will be for sale," Galliani told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
"There is no minority or majority stake and so the discourse is now closed."
Although Galliani has denied a Taci takeover, La Gazzetta Dello Sport claims the oil magnate could become a major sponsor partner at the club.
