Only normal that you think a team like Swiss has potential given how you rate De Sciglio and Bonaventura. You've always meant to be a spectator of this sport and just that.

Btw, as an Italy fan, it seems like the route to the final would be much more favourable if we qualify as 2nd place instead of first. Does anyone else think that?

Switzerland is a team that shines only against stronger sides. Switzerland has never and probably will never shine against small teams who park the bus and lurk for counters. We desperately lack a target man with the killer instinct. Drmic is the player who comes the closest to that but he's not in France due to an injury.

Talent and potential is there (Xhaka, Shaqiri, Embolo, Schär, Sommer), but I doubt this team will ever be able to play that champagne football like Spain or Germany do. Those nations have so much more class than we have. The game against Romania won't be attractive to watch. However, I expect Switzerland to shine against France. It's against the stronger sides where Switzerland plays it's best football.

Switzerland could be the first team to qualify for the round of the last 16 teams.

The ball no longer has to move forward at a kick-off - it just has to move for the game to start.

one of the many 'pointless' changes

it may be a pointless change, but it makes more sense than the old way

-

is this change gonna be permanent in all competitions next season?

plays like shit for 20 minutes, scores

I don't think Romania will manage to avoid conceding a goal before half time

They're probably testing it and then they'll see

So is it now possible to score an own goal directly from kick off?

Under the old rules, what happens if you kick it front but due to strong winds the ball goes back without touching the ground back into your own half? Was that illegal?

you can shoot from kickoff under the old rules no?

Yeah, but you had to do it in 2 passes in order to avoid opponents, now you can pass behind to have more space straight from kickoff
