good news!

considering Lazio will win tomorrow and Milan will also win tonight the distance will be 8 points (from Lazio in forth place)

But boys and girls i worry a bit

IMO we dont have the squad to fight in ALL 3 fronts...milan is pushing hard for 4th place....coppa italia is a target as well.....while we cant ignore the EL

the same players are playing over and over again...

What is your opinion?

Anyone followed Lega Serie A granting Mediapro TV rights? On par with Spanish and German TV rights revenues.

Sky Italia very salty...

Big news for the league. For years and years, Sky and Mediaset have gently played this game of keeping the rights between themselves and doing the bare minimum necessary to do so. This move by Mediapro (and the new Chinese people behind the company?) shakes things up significantly.

Already, some of the provisions seem revolutionary.

If Italians won't modernise Serie A, foreigners will..

Mediapro’s entry could prove to be a game changer for Serie A, an outsider bringing fresh ideas to the table. In fact, several provisions have already been made upon completion of the deal. Firstly, the grass on all pitches must be the same height and the density of green must be identical. Secondly, advertising boards around the pitch must have precise colours. And thirdly, and perhaps the most important stipulation, is that the sections of the stadium that are in direct line of the hard camera must be filled with spectators. If clubs fail to comply then they will be sanctioned, a process already in place in La Liga.

Mediapro clearly believe there is untapped potential in Serie A and a feeling they can emulate what they’ve done for the value of La Liga and double its revenue inside several years. From next season, there will be eight different kick-off slots as opposed to the current five, in an effort to maximise viewing figures. This strategy is also implemented in La Liga.

In a depressing stat for traditionalists, there will only be three 15:00 Sunday games. It wouldn’t be surprising to see several of the biggest games pushed to an earlier slot, for example the new Saturday 15:00 kick off, to appease the mythical Asian market. This is even more likely after a Chinese company promptly bought out a majority share in Mediapro just days after they had clinched the Serie A rights. There’s no such thing as a coincidence in business.

Incredible that Lazio hasn’t netted against Verona yet. They’ve had sooo many chances. Hopefully it’s just one of those days where they can’t get the ball in the net.

Maybe the same-ish money in the beginning due to dropped share, but if long-term plans are as interesting as they seem, more money eventually.

More money for the league, less share of the pie for the big clubs. Juve in particular lose out the most. But then Serie A will go back to 18 teams and it won't make such a huge difference.

Just realised that the final week of the season is Milan - Fiorentina and Lazio - Inter. And week 37 is Atalanta - Milan, Roma - Juve and Samp - Napoli. Some end to the season.

That great news. TV presentation of Serie A is absolutely abysmal compared to other leaguers.

Benevento really are schooling them. For a couple of spells they looked world class and all Merda fans were whistling. :lol

They deserve to be one-two up
