Against ManU in ICC we were in one that lasted long into the night.

Pioli was right, Leao was not ready yet. He needs to more time to train with Pioli and the team. He was so focused on him self, this is not Milan identity now. He also needs to raise his grinta upfront when Milan lose the ball.

Was awake for almost 24 hours straight due to crunch time at work. Opted against getting a couple of hours sleep in before starting work again to stay up to watch the game. Almost passed out due to the multiple heart attacks Milan gave me.

Fuckin hell!!!

Rumours and Spezia game can't come soon enough. Onwards!

The only PK shootout that was more dramatic than this was when Jordan became a decent football nation in Asia and almost knocked out Japan in the Asian Cup QFs in 2004... Japan missed their first two and Jordan scored, the the referee decided to switch play to the other end of the field and suddenly Jordan couldn't score the winner and Japan somehow went through

He played below his standards, but it's clear fatigue is starting to kick in. Luckily, he's not called up to France's NT & he'll use the intl break to rest.

No idea, but perhaps the fact that Zico was the Japan coach influenced things... it was a real tragedy

these are the kinda games that really strengthen the bond of a team. The lads are gonna fight for each other and the shirt even harder every game now. Extreme fatigue aside , the way the match went is a blessing in disguise . Onwards and upwards with even more grinta! Forza Milan!!

Not great game from Donnarumma but got the job done. I have never understood tall goalkeepers who anticipate the moves in advance. There were at least 3 shots he could have got just staying in the middle. If the shot goes right in the corner, it is really difficult to block anyway if you anticipate or not.

Buffon always anticipates the PK's and that is/was IMO his biggest weakness as a goalkeeper all these years. He was always great for NT until the penalty shootouts.

I still can't believe we won this

Rio Ave fans must be fuming, and rightfully so. While it was known that our bench quality is less than ideal, especially in the forwards department, I can't fandom why our fitness levels dropped so much overnight.

We didn't play in Europe last season, so they don't have that excuse..and really we looked good fitness wise since the restart, its just baffling.

Anyway these guys have no business being anywhere near our bench if we aim to be a CL contender team:
  • Maldini
  • Samu
  • Colombo
  • Krunic
  • Laxalt

* In no particular order, they are all simply not good enough.
