By the way, this has annoyed me a couple of years but seemed especially relevant here. The game Fifa 21 has given him 55 pace. That is significantly slower than slow centerbacks. Not only is he not slow in real life, he is pretty fast. I am not talking Salah fast, but he is pretty fast. And EA is paying millions just to have people follow these stats in real life.
I have had the theory, and I am more sure of it now, that he actually
breaks the game. Its trying to be realistic with stats. And you model Zlatan with that insane strength and height, and you give him the shooting power, the dribbling, the vision, the flicks traits.. suddenly you have a 39 year old player fresh from the MLS beating the shit out of whatever version of Messi or Neymar you had on the box art.
Would be great if he can get capocannoniere this year.
Has a 39-40 year old ever been that in, say, a top 10 tier league even?
Just watching and rewatching the game highlights....
Zlatan was so good this game...its unbelievable. Just wish he'd scored the hattrick.
He was everywhere....creating for others, bullying defenders and scoring.
One thing's for sure - with Ibra we're going into every game looking to win.
Personally I especially loved it because this was Zlatan prime level. The (in my opinion) most entertaining player ever, and extremely vital for the result, but he was never a "goal scorer". I would go as far as calling him horrible in that particular field. Instead he would absolutely dominate the attack in games so that he ends up with 2 goals anyway, which is what he did here.
He scores the 1-0, 1-1 or 2-1 goals out of nothing. But I have never seen him do the 4 last goals to win it 7-0 ala CR. Closest I can think of is the exhibition against England with the bicycle finish - but while it was 4 goals, it was still only 4-2 in total, a pretty close game. When Sweden beat small countries with 6 goals, Zlatan would usually have 1 goal. When Sweden tied prime Spain 1-1, Zlatan would also have that 1 goal.
