Confederation cup has been a good warm up tournament since about 2005. Contrary to popular belief, teams participating in it take it pretty seriously.

Brazil will do well in this tournament. There at home, there team is actually pretty good. Only problem I see is there striker and Daniel Alves underperforming.

I have loved Brazilian football for so long; however, their 2 previous world cups have been bad from the squad called. Germany 2006 for calling Ronaldo (totally out of shape) when he did not have anything to do with going to that world cup. South Africa 2010 was bad when Kaka did not respond it and the team did not respond at all.

Now for this version of Brazil, I have been critical of how they use Neymar. Neymar is not starting material, IMO. It is like he is the superstar and everybody has to play to make him the best player in the world. Sorry, but it does not look like Brazil wants to win the world cup same as in 2006 their mission was to make Ronaldo the top goal scorer in world cups instead of winning that tournament.

Spain, have mercy on us. 3-0 should be ok. The team that won you guys 3-2 back in '98 (thanks to that famous Oliseh screamer) is sooo gone now.

Uruguay, have mercy on us as well. Please tell one of your players not to punch the goal-bound ball (mother of all professional fouls) as he did v. Ghana in '10 or not to bite anyone as he did to Ivanovic. Or not to do an Evra.

The world cup got a little bit different times

group round:
6pm, 9pm, 12am

all knock out rounds:
6pm & 10pm

Final:
9pm

these are all CET, (Milano) times
not that bad for Europe, could be later
but it's going to be horrible for asian countries
