13/08/2011 PLAYERS WORK On FITNESS

The players mostly worked on their fitness this morning and they will resume training this afternoon.

MILANO - The first training session started at 10.00 this morning with the players on the indoor court to start with with a gentle warm-up, followed by some stretching. This part of the training session was accompanied by music.

Then the players did some light running round the pitches, with some uphill and downhill sections, for around ten minutes.

The remainder of the training session took place on the lowered pitch and lasted roughly 40 minutes. During these 40 minutes the players, divided into six groups of three, worked on their reflexes and agility.

Inzaghi, Flamini, Nesta, Mexes and El Shaarawi worked apart.
Pato, Thiago Silva, Robinho and Yepes were all absent.

The squad will resume training at 5pm.

13/08/2011 DOUBLE DOSE at MILANELLO

Double training session for the Milan squad at Milanello.the players worked on improving their speed and reflexes and also possession. Cassano and Van Bommel joined the group in the afternoon.

MILANO - The afternoon training session started at 6pm and took place on the raised pitch. The session focussed on rapid and intense movements but with the ball unlike the morning session that did not involve any ball work.

The squad started with some stretching followed by some brief games with very small goals.

The players started with a game, nine against nine, with unlimited touches to improve their speed.

Then the coach made the players stand in a circle with one in the middle. Allegri then focussed his work on tactical exercises aimed at improving possession.

At the end of the tactical workout the team went back to playing a game, 10 against 10, on half a pitch.

The goalkeepers worked on their own with their respective coaches on the lowered pitch.

Even Kingsley Boateng, the young champion with the youth team, took part in the training session with the senior squad and worked alongside him namesake Kevin Prince.

Cassano and Van Bommel, who were both on international duty in midweek, joined the squad in the afternoon and trained regularly.

Flamini worked on his own on the central pitch with a dedicated coach.

A double training session is scheduled also for tomorrow before the squad leaves for Malmoe on Sunday morning.

Says something when our 2 most productive WBs got 2 and 1 assist respectively.

Season preview: what to expect of 2011/12
Posted by Jovan | Tuesday, August 23, 2011
After years of mediocrity, the summer of 2010 was a turning point for Milan. The arrivals of Ibrahimovic, Robinho, Boateng and Yepes proved enough for Milan to catch up to Inter in terms of quality. Well, the arrival of Rafa Benitez didn’t hurt either. During the winter transfer window, Cassano, Emanuelson and van Bommel were brought in to give the final push to Milan’s title ambitions. Van Bommel did more than that, quickly becoming a fixture in front of the defense and the most reliable player on the team next to Thiago Silva and Abbiati. This summer, Milan had yet another positive transfer window, so let’s take a look at what the coming season may look like.

Well, we don't know if we are going to start Serie A on September 9th, right? The strike is still not resolved but we are hoping that it will all resolve by then.

Compared to the start of last season this is a major improvement. Besides Allegri knows his systems & tactics from the start this time. I'm sure we will do a lot better then last season.

Maybe some winter reinforcements as well (lot of faith in Ganso coming) and we're set for a few more prizes :)

Milan will WIN Serie A, Most LIKEly, BUT this Milan is NOT good enough to do what they could do which is WIN consistently and DESTROY EVERYONE, and im SURE REAL MILAN fans who KNOW MILAN will agree. I LOVE MILAN, I believe in them, but i see we just not good enough to be on par with Barca or Real or even Man U for that fact. Hopefully Berlusconi will sell MILAN or use hes brain ONE DAY. But for NOW all I can do is PRAY

If Nesta stays fit and our back line play well (as it should, at least on paper), then we are up for some treat.

Our offense is pretty solid and most importantly it is fast. Remember, with Gatusso, Ambro and MVB (any 2 of those 3) being present in the midfiled will not allow Barca to play their free flowing soccer as they play against everybody.

Milan VS Inter: who has the upper hand?
Posted by Jovan | FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2011
After Milan's Supercup triumph, a question arises: is the victory a sign of what is to come in the new season or is Gasperini's Inter simply still searching for its identity? With Juve strengthening and Napoli keeping their stars while adding the midfield motor that is Gokhan Inler, Inter is still likely to be our strongest competitor for the title. So I'll take a look at the strengths and weaknesses of each side in an attempt to compare them as scudetto contenders.

Just figured how much Italian is our rooster this season:

http://www.acmilan.com/it/teams/roster

3 italian keepers

6 italian defenders + 4 non italians

5 italian midfielders + 5 non italians

3 italian attackers + 3 non italians

Those numbers are a bit inflated cause guys like Valoti, De Sciglio and Shaarawy will problably not get much playing time, but still it's interesting.

This season, 7 goals conceded already in just 3 matches [SA + UCL]

Last season, 32 conceded in 44 matches [SA + UCL]

We really need to buck up in defense.

Inter lost to Navara, get result for us.

We need to win big time tomorrow against Udinese and then handle Juve in the w/e.

We need Ibra and Boateng in the line up pronto !!

AC Milan's Dominant Defence Underperforming in 2011/12
by Adam Digby at Thursday, Sep 29 2011
2011%2f9%2fNest-Silva.jpg

Serie A last season was one of the closest fought and interesting campaigns in recent memory. From a position of seemingly unassailable dominance Inter were brought crashing back down through a combination of terrible luck with injuries, poor form and the ill-judged appointment of Rafael Benitez. The race for the Champions League and relegation slots ran until late in the season while the play of Napoli, Udinese and Lazio was both refreshing and entertaining.

I think we can bump up our defence soon, it'll just take some time and October is the perfect month to see how good we'll be getting. Plus, we'll have Mexes and Robinho back soon so everything's getting better slowly :D

RIP Totti
With a full strength squad.......

Who would you guys play??

I think

Abbiati
Abate-Nesta-Silva-
Bommel
RCM-LCM
CAM/SS
Zlatan-CF/SS

The names are the set spots

It interesting because do you want to sacrifice Nocerinos effort for Boatengs attacking prowess and skill

Do you want to put in Pato who may still be inconsistent for a Cassano who could change the game

Put Robinho at CAM or SS/CF despite his shit finishing but awesome movement

Aquilani, while not being as well rounded as Dorf, yet a better passer but not yet intergrated into the team and not as consistent as Dorf either

Do you risk playing Dorf despite the chance he puts in a shit preformance

Really is hard to choose
