Today's market is very inflated. Romagnoli is no Nesta, but he definitely have the tools and the chance to reach a close level, at his age he has 78 Serie A games, he started U21 official games when he was 19, and very likely, his price is going to raise next summer.
If we sell him now to invest in a midfielder, we also have to invest in someone who replaces him. When a team makes a transfers, some money get lost due to commissions, taxes and such. Also takes time for the new players to adapt.
For these reasons, selling him for what is considered to be a reasonable price, would very likely lead to worse team performances and worse overall value of the team, since probably the player's vale is going to increase in the next years.
I would consider selling him next summer if at least 2 of these conditions are satisfied.
- Paletta and Gomez makes a great season.
- Someone of our Primavera prove to be able to replace him
- We receive an'insane offer.
